Black screen of the Tower?!?!?
I know I am not the only one experiencing this! It seems like every other time I try to spawn into the tower I get the sound of the tower but nothing on my screen. I can go into my character menu and move weapons around and change gear but once I exit that screen it is back to a black screen. I have sat for up to 5 minutes waiting to see if it was a loading issue and I am still looking at a black screen. I can spawn into any planet and never have this issue but when I go to the tower it is about a 50%-75% chance it is going to be a black screen.
Bungie can you fix this issue? I have logged out of the game twice, changed characters three times, fast traveled to the same spot in the tower multiple times and I still am stuck at a black screen. However I can visit any other planet/crucible/raid/etc and the screen shows up like what would be expected.

1 ReplyFor me it’s fixed itself after waiting a little bit but most of the time I have to return to orbit and go back to the tower.

i do also get this issue, can hear the sounds and talking from the npcs, but the screen is black, nothing appears.

1 ReplyHaving the same issue and it's 75% of the time almost not worth trying lately is bungie to lazy to put out a hot fix or can they not figure out the problem, time to hire better programers.

How can I do that when I'm stuck in a black screen?Wtf wasn't this supposed to have been patched already.

Working as intended happens to me as well Since Bungie works in the dark they want their customers to do so as well

Should be able to hit U on keyboard to get to director to fast travel to tower. Does not work with a controller most of the time. Once you fast travel, you should land.

Same can't go to other planets until I go to the tower but I can't, been going on for 2 days. Can't play Destiny.

I'm having the same problem if I had to guess its due to population problems. Since they increased the population of zones it seems as if going into the tower is a pain in the ass.
