Hilarious moment from today's reveal
So Deej is getting a energy hand cannon Jack Queen King 3 from the Forge.
He reads the name and happily proceeds to search for the weapon into the kinetic slot :-)
A stream colleague tells him to look down, he scrolls down, ignoring the energy slot and starts to search for the hand cannon in the power slot, does not see it there, gets frustrated "What did you give me"...
This level of incompetence is mind-boggling.
I was giving Bungie a benefit of doubt but recently all they do is just reeks of incompetence.
They've got amazing artists and programmers I give them that, but man, designers, writers and community management are clowns.

They seemed to not even play the game, so how could they change the game properly? How would it ever be changed for the better if they didn’t have any interest in it? They all just treated this franchise as a means to an end. They seemed to treat Destiny like it was just a job and it also seemed they didn’t care much about improving it for the current players of Destiny. I say current because now the player base has changed from hardcore/ casual to extreme casual. They could never know what would truly make the franchise great for the then player base because they didn’t have the experience in gameplay to do it. They also have chosen to target a different demographic for the future of the franchise that makes it easier on them to handle it. This would most likely never change because the people working there would never change. The problem lies with the lack of interest in the franchise and the push for a more casual gameplay experience rather than the actual content of the game. They just aren’t inspired by this game and you can tell with this iteration of the game in D2. I know the game is poorly executed in terms of the opinions of the hardcore D1 player base and they have proven it will never be executed properly in the future by those standards. The developers and community managers have chosen to go another way. It’s time to realize the truth as sad as that may be for those of us expecting a game that finally filled that void of a REAL open world shooter, first person perspective. Hopefully a company in the future can figure out a successful formula to deliver this type of genre that makes them money but can also appease a hardcore gaming crowd AND casual one, because you can have a game with both. If a company can do this the potential earnings, in terms of monetary value, will be exceeding and great because there is a hole in this industry for those types of games right now. Bungie just wasn’t the company to do it unfortunately.

I noticed that as well. Actions speak 1000 words. Not a friggin clue where weapons drop. Probably not a friggin clue with regards to D2 period. Nothing but a sock puppet. Plain and simple.

6 RepliesDeej is a known asshat who knows little to nothing about the game. i would love to see him get interviewed by someone trolling him with questions that don't make sense to see how he would answer them. Something like, "Deej i love using blink and a shotgun with my hunter, will there be any new exotics that enhance the hunter blink in D2?" he would probably respond with something like, "that is information i can't reveal at this point." instead of mentioning that hunters don't have blink anymore.

The sad part is... there are so many people, myself included, that would love to take that position of showing off the latest tools to use and talk about my favorite builds or showcase actual knowledge of the game. That or just write grimoire cards for them. Give me a stack of names, places, weapons, enemies, and heros and I'll have so much fun writing and flushing out those characters/items/things. You need a up and coming in game codex filled? I'll fill that thing to the brim. Well... I would've been more excited for this sort of thing for D1... obviously, since I really don't like the D2 direction. But even still, as an avid fan of the game, it would be awesome to do. You know, just to do it.

15 RepliesThis is the biggest issue facing the economy as a whole right now, and its oddly very visible in this industry. Producers have NEVER been more out of touch with consumers. They expect us to fork over money beforehand, and then they can put in the bare minimum for what they think is worth it. Have you ever noticed that the companies that do this are often American companies? America where we have some of the most lax business regulations in the world? Perhaps if we had consumer protection, you wouldn't have utter incompetents designing games. Perhaps we could go back to the days where lead developers were fat nerds homegrown in the community instead of people with PhDs in marine biology (looking at you Greg Street).

the funniest and saddest part was at the end of the "most rewarding public event ever" and after all the work getting through the event and the time investment there are 2 chests. I was more irritated by the fact that the gun is just a reskin of the minuet 42... same frame, same reload, probably similar perks... the pulse rifle was just the Lincoln green with a new paint job... I’ll still play it, don’t get me wrong, they already have my money... but I’m starting to get really burnt out on this whole thing.
