I have not played D2 in a couple of weeks because i played it alot after release. At some point you exhaust the content no matter what game it is. Now D2 is a new game which naturally means you will hit this point faster, especially if you played as much as i did. This does in no way mean that it is a bad game. I will return when the next DLC drops. Same thing happend many times over the lifetime of D1.

 • So even you yourself habe left. Yeah some will be back for 2 weeks after dlc drops and that's it. D1 was not like this at all - it held a steady population throughout it's life

 • I left? Yeah wtf were you expecting? I did everything in the game, it gave me 200+ hours which is way more than your average game. Now i am playing something else until more updates/dlc drops. In the exact same way as D1. Nothing i stated says that this is a bad game. No game will keep you entertained 24/7 for the rest of your life. The player population dropping a while after release is completely normal behaviour.

D1 kept a steady population throughout it's life, it didn't lost over half it's playerbase 3 weeks off launch.
The player population dropping a while after release is completely normal behaviour.
Yes, many games show the same drop in players...except that's measured in months, not 3 weeks. D2 is a failure unfortunately and the numbers show it.

 • Then you are lucky. Very very few games i play gives that amount of hours. You might be correct about the numbers, i have never looked at them myself, because it has no infuence whatsoever about how i feel about a game. If i enjoy it, then i enjoy it, no statistic can change that. In my book this is in no way a bad game. This is definitly an above average game. Every person that i know that plays the game feels the same :)
