Celestial Nighthawk -0-
There are 11 exotic hunter armor pieces.
Exotic Engrams are supposedly random.
88 Exotic Engrams with Hunter Armor opened.
0 Celestial Nighthawks.
Each armor Engram has a 1 in 11 chance of being a Celestial Nighthawk head piece.
What is the probability of 88 random engrams never resulting in a Celestial Nighthawk?
Given that Activision filed a patent for manipulating players to engage in micro-transactions in order to acquire specific gear, i.e. grouping them with certain people etc., I am starting to highly doubt the integrity of the explanation that the loot system is random.
It feels a lot more like a way to manipulate players into playing longer, thus spending more money. The thing is, I really like this game, and I would play anyways, so good grief come on Bungie, at this point, getting an Exotic Engram is insulting and frustrating rather than a reward.

4 RepliesHonest question: how do you know it is an armor engram vs a weapon engram? I didn't think there was a difference anymore and any engram can give weapon or armor.
