Obviously it's a matter of opinion, but for me vanilla D1 was way better than D2. The fact is, at this stage in D1 I was still playing and having fun every night, whereas I havn't touched D2 in about a month, have no desire to ever play it again and won't be purchasing the DLC. How they've messed it up this bad is just astounding.
