If I alt+tab in Destiny 2, I can't get back to it

Hi all, Sorry if this has already been covered but I can't find a search option in this forum and the only thing similar to this in the known issues list is for different hardware. BattleTag: Rozonus#2952 CPU: Intel i5-4690K GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 ti RAM: 16GB GPU Driver Version: 388.31 Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64bit I have added a link to my DxDiag info. Whenever I alt+tab out of Destiny 2 and use any other program such as Chrome, Discord, Teamspeak etc I cannot switch back to Destiny 2 again. It remains in my taskbar and doesn't appear to 'stop responding' in the Windows task manager. If I hold alt+tab to see what programs are running, Destiny 2 just shows a blank white screen with the game's logo in the middle. If I tab to it and try to select it nothing happens. All I can do is force quit it in the task manager and reopen it. Thank you for any help!

I found a fix. It's annoying, but it works. It came from here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/report-an-issue/windows-11-alt-tab-is-broken-on-fullscreen-windows/m-p/2854895 "Open the Registry Editor and select the file path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer Then right-click the Explorer folder, select "New" and click DWORD value (32-bit). A value will be created in the explorer folder. Set the name of the value from "AltTabSettings". After the DWORD value (32-bit) is created, double-click on it. Now change the value from 0 to 1. After that select OK. Then restart the computer. Maybe the function for automatic updates needs to be disabled. Here with me I have now again the old Alt + Tab function. It runs great. I hope that MS can soon fix the bug in Win 11."

I think it's Windows 11. Same computer was fine until I upgraded. Mistake.

    • For me turning HDR off fixed it.

    • I've had this problem too, but I noticed it only starts after I've opened a browser for dim/bungie.net. It's weird.

Its a glitch with full screen itself you can play borderless or windowed full screen but on full screen itself it wont show the window after alt-tabbing once, its happened to me ever since i started using windows 11 BUT i cant say its due to the windows version since i dont have any idea if its the cause to this bug. If you get caught in this glitch hit L-Alt And Enter so you can swap your screen to windows mode and proceed to change it in game to anything but full screen until its fixed.

Click on the Destiny 2 icon in your taskbar, then push Alt+Enter. It will reopen the game in windowed mode, then simply change it back to whatever you had before, and voila!

        • Same here although I can't alt+tab, I have to ctrl+alt+delete and hit cancel to minimize destiny. I think it has to do with PC destiny being a new thing (kinda) and it's not very optimized. I haven't had any other games that just show a white screen in the task bar or that need to spend 2 minutes loading an area. Seems like things only consoles have to contend with.
