1 ReplyTo early to tell yet. Destiny 2 needs some serious changes.. Took me nearly three years to be done with D1, even though it had its major flaws.. Destiny 2 only kept me occupied for 3 weeks, shockingly little to do in the game. But its not just the content, its also the route destiny is taking... D2 was supposed to be the savior of the franchise.. But it ended up much worse then D1, that one is really hard to swallow. Story looks really good, but i am afraid it will play out like the Ghaul story.. Way to easy compared to the massive build up they gave us.. Ghaul was just a regular mob even though he was portrayed like a super villain. I am looking forward to the next streams too see what they have in store for us, but again.. I am worried.. the main problem for the franchise have always been the developers vision for the game. They refuse most of the regular RPG elements like crafting, builds, stats etc.. And they dont offer anything for competitive players like rank, leaderboards, difficult content beside the raid etc etc. This time around i will actually wait and see what is in game before i buy it. The superb marketing team of Bungie/activision wont pull me in this time around.

Honestly, with current track record of Bungie and how they managed to throw away everything that made Post TTK Destiny good and make something that was worse than Destiny 1 vanilla. And yes, there seems there are some good things to come with the DLC I seriously doubt the DLC will be any better, best case scenario we get another The Dark Below but less. Hopefully, hopefully I will be wrong but….

I think all we can really say for certain right now... Whatever Bungo add, if the current sandbox remains, will not be as enjoyable as it could and should be. (Personally, my expectations are as low as possible...that way...maybe...I might like something...fingers crossed!)

1 ReplyI think the environments are well made. The story, while probably short like usual, sounds really cool. Wouldn't mind playing the new strikes and the new patrol zone at least once. That being said, it builds on the current system and isn't changing anything via quality of life improvements. So I won't be buying until they do lol

I've been playing other awesome games and no way am I getting the dlc. I however can't wait to see the meltdown and dumps over this shallow new dlc.

1 ReplyHaven't touched the game in a month, not going to buy the dlc and been enjoying other games but I do look into the forums from time to time checking to see if Bungie will ever come out and apologize for developing a game that's so bad and if they'd ever fix it's issues, still nothing

3 RepliesIt’s just going to be a piece of the game that they wanted to be apart of the vanilla game, but wasn’t able to finish in time to meet activisions deadlines. Let’s all think and stop complaining for once. Bungie has to reach deadlines and have a finish product for activision to review for marketing well in advance of any release date. The vanilla game was probably done weeks before the beta came out, meaning they used the beta to make some small changes that they had concerns about. Then this dlc was probably done around the time of D2 launch and they made small changes here and there based on feedback of how this version of the game is going. The rest of that time was used for marketing purposes. They probably want this dlc if not both dlc’s to be apart of the game for launch, but needed to break it up to fit the tight schedule that activision has set for it. Which would make since seeing as though they already were able to announce that they will have 2 dlc’s within a few months after launch. Therefore the full game of destiny 2 will be available to use after the second dlc. Which stinks...

Seeing as it took several DLC's to get D1 to a good place..... before it got worse again, I'd say were right on track.

1 ReplyComplaining about the lack of a "full 8-hour" raid is mildly amusing considering only 5% of the playerbase ever really played them. A shorter raid would be more accessible to those with busy schedules, too. Also, we've only seen the first of THREE streams on the Osiris DLC. We only know 1/3 of whats gonna be in it. Sure the story might be short, but did you seriously buy Destiny 2 for the story? They also stated there would be a ton of fixes in The Dawning, which comes out on the same day as Osiris. TLDR: Lets wait and see before we make assumptions
