What is the UNSC equivalant of the Banshee in Halo: Reach?
Im just thinking because the falcon is more of a transport vehicle and yes i am aware that it has turrets mounted on the side its just the pilot has no control over weapons and the banshee does so i was wondering?? because the hornet isnt in reach and as far as i am aware there isnt any air class vehichles in the game other than those two and the sabre in campaign. Ideas?

Think of it this way, before the mongoose and revenant the ghost was always considered the equal to the warthog ghost: one man; pilot controls weapons Warthog: multiple crew; driver doesnt control weapons. Now look at the falcon and banshee Banshee: one man; pilot controls weapons Falcon: Multiple crew; pilot doesnt control weapons. They dont have to have the same features to be an equivalent. Just remember bungie have always wanted to avoid there being human and covenant mirror equivalents as it makes it redundant. [Edited on 08.25.2010 9:00 AM PDT]

Seriously, do every weapon need an equivalent now?! I thought Bungie clearly said that they gave the weapons their own role.

Well in campaign the ffalcon pilot can shoot a gun in the front of the vehicle, but in multiplayer as far as I know there is no gun for the pilot. So the equivalent is still the falcon and if you get 2 people it'll probly beat a banshee easy

Yes but say there isnt anybody around just two players in forge world 1 goes in the Banshee the other goes in the falcon, the falcon hasnt got a chance right?

not that we are aware, just the banshee and the falcon banshee is for the fast air to ground vehicle attack falcon is for the slower air to air or infantry they both have different aspects

The laser. Just kidding. It is seriously the falcon. The transport aspect IS the idea with turrets.
