Like many of you, I try Trials of the Nine periodically. I'm decent at PvP, but when it comes to Trials, my efficiency goes down to approximately .5 versus 1.5+ in normal every day crucible. My ELO rating in Countdown is #238,847 Survival is better at #119,918. Not super great, but solid I think...
Then comes Trials of the Nine, and I cannot even come out of cover before I am killed by people I cannot even see. My ELO rating in Trials drops inexcusably down to #1,857,169.
I like to browse the companion app on my phone for teams to compete with during Trials if I do not have clan mates to play with. I understand that will hurt my rating in Trials since I am playing people that play together regularly. This week, I played with people I play with on a normal basis. That being said, this week was a joke. Me and my friends played 10 or more games one night, and lost all but the last one 6-0. And we barely got more than 5 total kills. The odds of me going from a decent PvP player to complete trash is unlikely. We even switched up and played a competitive match and did just fine.
Here lies the problem. Bungie does nothing to fix the issue. People are using the Bungie companion app to advertise paid carries for $30-$40 guaranteed flawless. These people are network manipulating to make the game unplayable for their opponents. It even got so bad that I messaged people just watching the intros for Trials to see how much they charged for carries. Mid match, they responded as they destroyed us 6-0. These guys have 400+ wins in Trials, and I bet 90% of them come from network manipulation. It makes the game mode unplayable and only benefits people that are using it as a second business. Bungie needs to do something to correct this. It is insulting to those of us that play consistently and are relegated to not being competitive in Trials because in any given run you are going to run into 50%-75% of teams that are using some sort of manipulation. It wouldn't be hard to cut this down.
Bungie can use their own app to track people that are paid to carry or recover and ban the IP of the accounts doing this. I say ban the people manipulating the network and ban the accounts paying to get carried. I know this seems drastic, but people are doing this with impunity. It needs to be fixed and it needs to be fixed before people just stop playing because they are being punished for not cheating.
Let me know what you guys think. I know this was a long post and a bit of a rant, but Trials is the most unplayable portion of the game, and it needs to get fixed before people stop playing even faster than they are now.

Edited by Ztigmatta: 6/2/2018 12:50:25 AMTrials is trash on PC, all cheaters

we need anti cheat program and to all gamers block and report
-
3 Repliestheres no manipulation here... youre just getting beaten by better players. looked over 6 of your trials games. the problem is you.
-
2 RepliesOr you just suck at this game. I have a 1.55 kd in trials. I go flawless if I want with my good friends, other times I'm with my clan mates just trying to get them to 5-7 wins. I have seen maybe 2 cheaters in almost 200 trials matches. Most of the time lag is the issue and playing against god players that do carries and have 3.5+ kds which I do play against at least 4-5 times a week.
-
3 RepliesI fully support banning cheaters.

21 RepliesEdited by CaptainW1nky: 11/16/2017 1:16:28 AMIt has nothing to do with server manipulation or paid carries/carries in general. Your team consists of a .5, .6, .8, and a 1.0 kd.... your barely 1.0 in PvP over all..... by those stats it is no surprise your being beaten 6-0 by some very average teams. I've looked at your past matchea no where did you play a team of gods. Carries anyway give you an advantage. Now your in basically a 1v4, 2v4, or 3v4 so the odds are heavily weighted in your favor. I have close to a 90% win rate with close to 650 matches won. I'm no where near good and I don't manipulate servers. Have you ever thought maybe it's just you and your team that is the problem? By your stats it's pretty apparent your team is pretty lost and could use a ton of practice. Imma pop some popcorn and read through the comments.I can't wait to read other peoples mythical theories on how trials is rigged, streamers get extra health, the damage you can deal is determined by the clock etc etc.......
Then I'll look those players up and everytime they are negative.
1 ReplySomething I did today just totally changed my experience. In settings under Vsync the 120 does not mean its a frame cap lock, but rather it's just Vsync... I've been playing with this on since day one. Make sure you use the config file to lock your frames. Seriously it feels like a different game now. I didn't know Vsync went up to 120 and assumed that was just for frame lock. I kept think that the P2P was horrendous, but no it was my fault for having that crap on. To echo what others have already said: Play the meta which is the Mida, Better Devil, Annual Skate, and Uriels Gift. Just started using Annual Skate today myself and now I get it. I've gained so much confidence in 1v1's from just using this. Make sure Vsync is OFF! Push with at least one other teammate. Plan ahead a little. When you peek a corner and know that there's likely going to be a person or two be prepared to peek and instantly turn back around and run. Take cover by running back into your teammates. Learn to stay alive. Want to increase your KDR? Learn how to stay alive longer. This mentality has always improve mine. Low sens is better for aiming to a point. Personally I use 800 dpi and 4 in game. That's lower than any of my friends, but I'm sure CS players would use something similar.

Is there even a reason to go flawless? All I’ve heard is an emblem but that’s it. Can someone halp meh
-
LMAO. I still don't get why anyone would even care about going flawless in D2. And care enough to pay money to be carried? LOL. This is great stuff. It's almost like players are in full on zombie mode from D1. Trials player: "Must.....go....flawless..." Me: Why? The rewards suck for this game in general. Trails player: "Must.....go....flawless....." Me: You get almost nothing other than bragging rights. Why bother? Trials player: "Must...go....flawless.....I...am entitled.....must....go...flawless...." Me: Whatever.

2 RepliesIt’s not cheating, trials is just a bit different and requires an adjustment in how you play. I don’t mean this to be rude, but you should take a serious look at your gameplay and what you can do to improve if you really want to instead of blame an external factor. You’re a below average pvp player and are playing with a group of players in the same boat. To improve you need to take a constructive look at your gameplay and how you play as a team. Record your matches, get input on crucible playbook on reddit. It’s totally doable to improve and get the win rate up in trials, but only if you want to do so.

5 Repliesi have almost 400 wins in trials, i can say that i only think i have seen cheating once

6 RepliesWhat they need to do, is set up a sting operation and permanently IP ban users. They could easily confirm the players accepting money for carry, and swiftly end the situation. If IP bans are handed out, no one would risk getting caught. There was another user that suggested it on a related post. That's it. That's all they need to do to stop it. All Bungie is doing now, is facilitating an illegal cash business. No one is paying taxes for this shit. The problem is, Bungie hasn't cared to do anything yet. They will learn, if they want the game to survive.

1 ReplyEdited by Kuruma: 11/16/2017 4:33:49 PMThere is also this very common cheat on PC version, you go local supermarket and buy controller, then plug it in your PC and now you have fully functional aimbot in your game. This is not detected by the anti-cheat.
-
3 RepliesThey're not cheating. You're just bad. Performing well in a quickmatch does not mean you should perform well in trials. Quickmatches are filled with low level characters and players who hate pvp and just want the milestone. Successful teams in trials have a lot of pvp in shooters experience and are probably using voice chat. I tried trials twice and got destroyed ending with zero kills each time. It's not because both times I randomly encountered a team of cheaters. It's because I'm bad at pvp compared to most hardcore pvpers. And playing a lot of quickmatches doesn't make you a hardcore pvper.

7 RepliesEdited by Endless: 11/15/2017 4:23:41 PMEveryone lies or exaggerates their experience playing cheaters. I have almost 300 wins in trials and have played cheaters TWICE. Liars and exaggerators. Story tellers... creating false narratives for bungie to bend to your will. No.
-
I have no issue going flawless. Dunno what to tell you.
-
Just get a better team and maybe play more crucible?
-
I haven't played a game of trials where I 100% think the other team is cheating. I won't go so far as to say that means there isn't any cheating, but it's, at most, extremely rare. I can count on one hand how many games were fishy, like a couple where someone on my team gets booted out, but also 1 or more get booted on the other team. Either it's just network issues, or cheaters are still working out the kinks in their HostBooter 5000's

14 RepliesCheaters and carriers/repeat flawless teams are 2 separate things. Cheaters (i.e. lag switchers or network manipulators as you call them) should absolutely be banned. No doubt about it no questions asked. If somebody goes flawless with more than one DNF by the other team (I’m saying allow for one due to the crap connection) it is clear they cheated and it is easy to see and Bungie has been issuing bans for this. Repeat flawless teams are not cheaters (given their wins have not come from the other teams always DNF), they are just better than you are. Paid carries are a violation of the EULA and should be dealt with where possible (I would agree with an IP ban). But let’s say that a clan has two or three (or four) extremely good players and over the course of trials they play with other clan mates and carry them. This is not cheating. This is just good players helping their friends. The same is true for people that advertise free carries. Maybe they just like playing Trials and like playing with new people. You lump these players in with the cheaters because you don’t like that they are better than you and keep you from flawless. If flawless is your goal you should be able to beat the best players out there and players that repeatedly go flawless are the best.

git gud kid

2 RepliesOr maybe.... you are not as good as you think you are because reg crucible has sbmm. Trials does not. The level of player you are used to playing in reg crucible are not that good so when you get into trials you get stomped. Its hard to improve in pvp if you are playing subpar players all the time.

11 RepliesEdited by Stari: 11/15/2017 11:40:59 PMTrials is FRAUD man. There is a specific group of +/- 10% "Top" players, which basically mostly don't even need a team. They can go flawless, SOLO. Just because they see you at least a second earlier, they are actually standing somewhere else on their screens when you shoot them so you don't do normal damage, but they kill you as easy as they are playing CoD.......... And then they say: "Look at those noobs, they can't even aim." Destiny Crucible is bad, but Trials is FRAUD and FAKE for the most players. In almost EVERY match one team has the host/ connection advantage. For the most players Trials is unplayable.

Trials in D2 is so much easier to go flawless than it was in D1, there is 0 SBMM, weapons like AR are super noob friendly to make getting kills easier, two heavy spawns every round AND it doesn't even match you against other teams with 6 wins on your flawless game...if you think this is hard I can't imagine how you felt in D1. I think you are forgetting Trials is supposed to be difficult (even though I think Bungie still need to make it harder to go flawless) the rewards and the prestige of going flawless should be something that is rare to the casual player, who is Bungies target market. So that makes the one time you do go flawless memorable and special, hence why now you only need 2 flawless runs to get pretty much every weapon/armour piece and can still get most of the weapons just by winning 3/4 games every week. With regards to cheating, i've played over 100+ games with a 93% win ratio and haven't been DDOS'd once....

I have a cheat few know about... I call it more skill

6 RepliesStop crying youre just bad I play trials every weekend and have no problem going flawless Out of nearly 200 trials matches I've had at most 3 seem skeptical So with that being said quit painting a picture that every other game involves a ddos Take your Ls for being trash like a big boy instead of crying on forums
