What happened to the reef

The reef still exists, and it should still be led by Petra Venj, as we have no idea where Mara Sov is, and as far as we know, Uldren Sov is still on Mars. If you stand near Executor Hideo, there is a random voice line you can hear from one of the unnamed npcs talking about how he knows his sister is alive at the reef and he wants the guardian to go find her. So, that implies that we evacuated some to the reef during the attack. I'm pretty sure that confirms that Petra is still in control and Uldren hasn't returned, because Uldren hates us. Petra, not so much. Eventually in the d2 storyline, we will likely be returning to the reef. Possibly in Curse of Osiris, but maybe not since Brother Vance has moved to the Lighthouse.

It was attacked my Ghual before he attacked the tower, he wanted to cripple our allies too.. He also attacked the iron temple

The Reef was still around after Oryx came, as we all know by the fact that we go there and wage war against the Taken with Variks and Petra, but they were left with almost their entire fleet destroyed We don’t know what the Red Legion did to the Reef when they arrived

Unless the Red Legion either didn't notice it (unlikely) or deemed it insignificant (also unlikely, as the Skyburners witnessed the Queen's fleet's attack on the dreadnought), I'm guessing the Reef doesn't exist anymore.

As far as I am aware it is still there just fine. I've heard some rumors that the Queen survived and returned. Variks also may or may not still be there. I of course think Queen's angry brother is leading the House of Dusk from there along with Variks.
