I know that the faction rally is over now, but maybe this can be fixed for the next one. More than once, when doing public events, there were issues caused by the faction rally supply securing events.
First, especially with the glimmer events that you have to chase around, the symbols in the HUD look way to close to what the rally supply event markers look like. Please consider changing the HUD markers for the supply events. Just changing the marker color would work.
Second, there are massive amounts of elites (shielded with orange life bars) around those supply events. They very often would join into the pubic event fights, some of which are tough enough for a single fire team to solo. I participated in at least one event that failed with four full fire teams (or at least twelve people) because the final glimmer pile appeared right in the middle of one of those supply events. Everyone just got blown away by a huge mob of elites when they even tried to approach the pile. A bunch of us trying to clear them out with supers hardly made a dent..
There are ought to be some way to keep them from interfering with each other, using clocks or some such so that they do not spawn at the same time. I would rather not see the supply events despawn when a public event starts, as that could cause someone working one of those events to lose out on the rewards.
Anyway, that was my biggest frustration with the whole thing and I know I was not the only one.
