Sunken Caverns Nessus Core?

In the Sunken Caverns on Nessus, there is something that looks like the centaur's core to the left of the first firefight zone. Are the Vex really capable of making a core of a planetiod safe enough for a guardian to be around? Also, there appears to be some Vex time distortions in the air around the core, so maybe that is containing it? I don't know, what do you all think?

  • World design lead, Steve Cotton said in an interview that Nessus was here in a “limited Window” as it’s a Centaur Also, it's a real planet: 7066 Nessus, to be precise. A minor planet discovered by David L. Rabinowitz in 1993.

    • I know Nessus isn’t big, but I highly doubt it’s the core. We really didn’t even go down that far to get there. My guess is that it’s just some natural gasses left from the centaur.
