So recently Projekt Red said they saw the Witcher series expanding past the story of Geralt, and sure I would love the Witcher to keep going on but could it really be as good as the Witcher 1-3?
Could whatever character they chose (probably Ciri) be as interesting as Geralt? If they do choose Ciri how would they make her less OP than she already is?
Would it be a prequel based on Ciri's adventures through separate dimensions/ universes as she tries to outrun the hunt?

I could see a create a character working, honestly. The Witchers are more than Geralt, and it could be interesting to play as a fairly new character.
-
He stays or I don't play. He's my boi
-
For me, no. I've grown too attached to Geralt. Without him I wouldn't be interested in playing.
-
Would love the same world, diff characters, past or future or present Def not a reset. I want Geralt to exist or to be existing. Their combat has improved each game, story is excellent, but one of my fav aspects of witcher series is how they implement side quests. Love that by killimg this random guy 4 hrs into the game, effects a side quest that i do 30 hours later. I want that. Heck if cd projekt dropped witcher and made something completley new with similar story telling methods, id love it

2 RepliesMaybe the child of geralt since he's had sex with the whole damn world XD 😂😂😂
-
Yup, hope the next is based on Ciri.
-
Hmm...maybe they'll have you play as someone other than a Witcher? Maybe you can play as a sorceress or something. I think it would be a good idea to branch away from the Witcher group but still use the world they created
-
Wouldn't mind seeing this and instead of doing a game focusing on another character previously seen, how about one set about a 100 years or see past the witcher 3 with revived witcher schools
-
Eskel or a young Vesemir
-
Possibly a new character? Perhaps following in the footsteps of Geralt?
-
Maybe Lambert? A new character would be better but no trial has happened in a helluva long time
-
Kinda wondered if this was gonna happen most people never played the first 2 games and while the 3rd mentioned a lot of the old stuff it was kind of a stand alone personally i didnt like playing as ciri so i wouldnt be interested in that
-
They could do a vesemir trilogy
-
I wouldn't say Geralt is absolutely essential. The problem is that literally every character worth mentioning is linked to the guy. There are ways around this, but if CD Projekt Red botches the transition, some people are going to be very unhappy. Alternatively, they could go the ME: Andromeda route and just invent a whole new set of characters. Needless to say, that doesn't always work.

They got the schools, they have Vesimir, Ciri, Eskel
-
I mean they could. Whether they should is another story
-
1 ReplyI'd like a do your own witcher character, then it starts differently depending which school you chose.
like in dragon age origins (city elf, wood elf, dwarf etc)
So, yes, witcher game without Geralt is fine, don't csre that much about Ciri either.
didn't like to play the Ciri scenes in W3
-
Probably, just long time fans will feel weird about it as first, after all they've experienced so much of this guys story. It'll end up being another "ezio" situation. But hey I won't complain about more from the series!
-
1 ReplySorry but Geralt as a character isn't interesting, the world and people around him are what's interesting. They could switch it out with a created character and it would work
-
Id want a game telling us the entire story over again... All from Dandelions view point, with intense gameplay, heavily cinematic driven story, all romance options, and obligatory battle of the bards!
-
Ciri is a great character and I could see her story continuing from either of the "good" endings. However, wouldn't be it great to play as one of the monsters, such as a changeling?
-
Both of those could be interesting. I trust CD Project red to do it right.
-
Nah, all good things come to an end. I'd rather The Witcher finished here at a good ending with Blood and Wine while I still remember it fondly.
-
Just switch the Witcher from Rivia with the Twitcher from Noveria, bruh.
-
A problem i have with the Witcher is that i don't give a fuck about Geralt.
