Can we start a petition to get this done? And actually get people from the community to ask meaningful questions instead of just fluff bs.
Questions like:
> Why is an emote wheel a priority over other social aspects that would actually improve the game? Social space chat for example.
> What does Deej actually do now? He's a community manager that doesn't communicate with the community.
> Why are their cooldowns on chests and materials in a game that's core mechanics require farming?
> Why is there an XP cooldown?
> Why do nightfalls seem to only have 2-3 modifiers now?

Unfortunately, they will just invent questions if there are no fluff questions available from the community. The Eurogamer Interview is a perfect example of Bungie's policy towards transparency. When asked "Could you please explain what you meant by a "new raid activity?"" Bungie's reponse was "A new raid activity." I can almost guarantee that Bungie wasn't prepared for Eurogamer to actually ask them that. It's possible Bungie even gave them a script of what they were to ask. It would have been easier for them to just say "A new raid." And even without revealing any actual details about the raid, that answer alone would've been still "cloaked in mystery" in the way that actually hypes players, and done a good job fostering consumer interest. The deliberately not say that is to actually confirm it's not a new raid, they just didn't want to say that, because they already knew that it's not what their players want.

2 Replies1. I have no explanation as to me personally emotes are worthless. 2. DeeJ relays information from the Devs to us via social media methods. Either here on the forum - though that's more Cozmo's job now, through TWAB, on Twitter, on Reddit. A Community Managers job is to listen to us and relay stuff to the Dev team and then relay whatever the Dev team tells them to tell us. That is exactly what is done by our community managers. Some people seem to think they need to be forum babysitter and comment on everything. 3. There wasn't. Until players found a way to exploit it. Blame the community for the cooldown. 4. Meaningless. Are you getting one less sparrow per week? Oh no! 5. Because people in D1 hated most of the modifiers and were very vocal about it. Chaff, Grounded, Lightswitch, etc... So Bungie listened and removed something most people didn't like.

1 ReplyWhy can't Bungie simply be open and HONEST???? Honesty is still always the best approach. I literally despise liars ...
