Still frame "hitching" after Hotfix 1.0.6.2

So, yesterday after Hotfix 1.0.6.2 was applied, I completely closed the game and restarted my PC just in case. Logged back into the game and it was smooth as butter, BUUUUUT... today (11/07) when I logged back into the game, the frame "hitching" introduced in Hotfix 1.0.6.1 is BACK! When it happens? - Generally when walking around and transferring through areas (less often, but still); - During public events with a bunch of people around (really often); - When I pull my aim to fire at enemies (really often); - Browsing the inventory (wasn't happening before 1.0.6.2). EDIT #1 - Also happening very frequently during strikes. EDIT #2 Tried to move the game from a SSD to a HDD. No improvement. PC specs: Core i7 2600 GTX 960 2gb 8gb DDR3 ram Game is installed in a SSD Windows 10 1709 Driver 388.0 Game running on medium settings (getting ~100 fps with vsync off / solid 55~60 with vsync on).

  • Hello, I would first recommend deleting the existing CVARS.xml file as a first troubleshooting step. This file can be found in: \Users\USER_NAME\Appdata\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs\ Note that when relaunched, the Destiny 2 application will generate a fresh CVARS.xml file.

    • I'm still getting it as well in the exact same situations as you, moving through areas or to new areas of a planet, public events or anywhere with a lot of action. It's not as bad as before but still awful to play with. I5-7600k GTX 1070 16gb Corsair ram 3200 Samsung 850 Evo

      • I have a similar issue, if not the same one. I get fps drops going in and out of menus, I get little lock ups now and then, as well as fps drops in public events even though my hardware usage is low. The menu fps drop has been there for me since the beginning, as well as the public event fps drop, but the lockups not so much. None of these issues should be happening. Another issue is with v sync off I can only achieve around 130fps on any setting. On lower settings it's nearly the same fps, just lower gpu usage, It won't pin my gpu to it's max like I feel it should, not until it hits the fps limit of 200. i7 7800x gtx 1070 sc 16gb drr4 installed on an ssd windows 10 1709 388.13, tried on different drivers, same issues.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600k GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 8GB RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3000 GPU Driver Version: Nvidia 388.00 Operating System: Window 10 (version 1607) DxDiag: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XiZ1Gj6hJnNm2wKSYvuYYB4-bRJZIDGB Description: Constant micro stutter, probably worse than before the patch. Start off with minor stuttering then gets progressively worse after about 40 mins until it's hard to actually enjoy the game because the stutter is so bad causing me to simply stop playing. Additional: GSYNC 144hz Monitor (GSYNC enabled) VSYNC off in game but on in NCP to cap frames at 144 W10 game mode not enabled (at least as far as I know) Part of a clan Game installed on Samsung EVO 850 500GB SSD with latest drivers Getting pretty high avg frame rates 90+ EDIT: linked wrong DxDiag (think Drive saved someone else's) EDIT 2:Turns out Rivia Tuner was on

      • If it's what I think you are talking about, it happens on Xbone as well. It's most noticeable in the EDZ on glimmer events behind the church, but happens elsewhere too sometimes. Seems to happen most when there is a bunch of explosions and shiny stuff(like glimmer) on screen.
