There is always a tier list for subclasses for different activities and it can change as new Exotics and content is released. However, while I have nt played every subclass yet the one that feels the most frustrating to play so far has been the Dawnblade.
Usually when you play a class or subclass you think about a few ways that it could be improved, that's pretty natural i suppose. For example, a little more mobility while using the Arcstrider super would be a nice buff.
However, when playing the Dawnblade the whole subclass feels weak. Everything from the abilities to the mechanics and how the subclass operates just doesn't feel good at all. The only saving grace is that Exotic that lets you gets rifts faster, but that's not something that is enjoyable outside very specific activities!

They removed self res for a terrible version of the hammers.
-
5 RepliesSunbreaker, sentinel and arcstrider are worse
-
My opinion no to me dawnblade is like an aggressive sunsinger it’s perks are more for combat then say Viking funeral build sunsinger to support for damage
-
Only use one subclass on Titan and warlock (arc),two on my hunter arc and void
-
4 RepliesIt's hard for me to judge in terms of balance, because I only play it when I need to for a Crucible challenge. However, I am pretty bitter about it in terms of gameplay. Sunsinger was a unique super (grenade spam) that I really enjoyed. I don't know why it was killed. If the reason was self-res, just dump self-res and replace it with something acceptable. Self-res was a cool feature, but not the main reason I ran Sunsinger. In place of my favorite subclass, I got a copy and paste of the hammer titan super, except with no melee form.

4 RepliesI miss sunsinger... But... Having sticky grenades that do as much damage as water balloons and a afire sword that lasts as long as a sneeze does have its perks. No it doesn't.
-
No, nightstalker was pretty op in destiny 1 and now is the worst subclass in the game, especially for pvp
-
i can see the use of dawnblade but it gets shadowed by voidwalker and stormcaller. its not no d1 sunsinger!
-
20 Repliesnah bro nightstalker is literally useless
-
8 RepliesIt's pretty bad, but Poledancer is still worse.
-
1 ReplyNightstalker is also arguably one of the worst. As good as it potentially is with the delays in tethers activating and the fact it doesn't affect bosses anymore makes it pretty bad right now. I will agree though, dawnblade is in a bit of a bad place.
-
4 RepliesEffectively infinite super and decent abilities and grenades. The real trash is arcstrider
-
5 RepliesHave you played Sunbreaker? It’s probably the least used Subclass. I’ve seen tons of Arcstriders, Dawnblades, hell even bubble titans. Sunbreaker is just in a bad spot right now. The only redeeming quality is the super, which is basically now a worse version of dawnblade
-
2 RepliesArcstrider is the worst subclass. No question. Crap super, their 3 grenade options are in the bottom 5 of all grenades in damage ranking, no longer have blink, list goes on. The only thing dawnblade has going for it is sunbreaker exotic gloves with w/e their spherical grenade is called.
-
6 RepliesNo way, probably the best warlock subclass
-
The super works well in PvP if you pre-meditate it. I took out a four man team with the super. Admittedly the other two subclasses would've yielded the same result. Actually. No I really can't think of a time when it would be overall better. Just a few niche moments.
-
It has uses... against Bosses with sun grenade, I like it. PvP though I'm usually Void.
-
I love it. Especially in PvE... you can do serious damage with the Phoenix Dive and quite fun.
-
Also very good at fighting other supers because of the verticality and ability to dodge
-
The top tree has good passives (icarus dash, shoot-while-float, replenish abilities)
-
No but Sunsinger was the best. Should have just got rid of self res
-
1 ReplyNo, you are just the worst at playing the subclass.
-
1 Replyit is the best warlock super, honestly i -blam!- opposing supers with this super i took down two roaming smashes with one dawn blade, it took down the goldy and a storm in one dawn blade the trick is down fly in the air like an asshole just roam around on foot, and throw your swords like link from legend of zelda, they track like crazy when you throw them from ground level is it as good as hammers or goldy? NO but it is the best super the warlock has i have been running starfire protocol , and using stickies properly, wait until someone apes you with a last hope, throw a sticky and start shooting, you will either trade or win

2 RepliesIt needs improvements in several areas: Daybreak projectiles need to have a straight path rather than a steep curve that's worse than Hammer of Sol Winged Sun needs to innately increase weapon in-air accuracy Fated for the Flame needs to be changed to grant Daybreak projectiles a defense debuff on enemies damaged by them Everlasting Fire should, in addition to increasing duration with Daybreak kills, extend the duration of Solar Grenades (stackable with Sunbracers). Wings of Sacred Dawn should be changed to grant you the ability to aim Phoenix Dive during Daybreak, like the D1 Striker's Death from Above, or grant you a dash attack with the sword when pressing the melee button during the Super. Heat Rises should have an additional effect where Daybreak kills, or damaging an enemy, while airborne increase their damage Sunbracers need to grant 2 Solar Grenades again.

I want my sunsinger back!!!
-
I like the exotic that keeps you suspended in the air. For pve of course.
