Why are hunters so popular?
Hello,
I have played Destiny 1 and I play Destiny 2; in both of these games I have found that hunters are the most popular class. Any hunter player admits that the shade step is ass, the shadow shot is nerfed and inconsistent, grenades are mediocre, and 2/3 of the supers are lacking.
Why are hunters the most popular class?

Personally i main hunter. For a few reasons. I do have all 3 classes though. The jump for one. Being able to reload by dodging. And for those who say hunter is weak has never ran golden gun ( bottom skill tree ) and celestial nighthawk against bosses. Only takes a second to crit shot a boss and deal so much damage before swapping to energy or heavy.

I like it when I cast shadow shot in PvP tether 2 or 3 people and I am shot dead before I hit the ground. That is why I play on my Hunter

I like Hunters because they are more agile. In a game where you move like a sloth, that is gold.

Any casual hunter would say they are ass and obviously has no idea how to play hunter. 🤙 Hunter is the best class in the game. Get it right.

Well i do have all 3 classes above 300 now, i do have a "thing" for my hunter... i like the invis dodge and the OrpRig Teather, and the high mobility is something that just feels right to me now... and then there is the fact that the guy can wear tight form fitting outfits.

All the little kids like Hunters. If there were no little kids playing, Hunters would be the same popularity as the other classes.

D2 I like Titan the most but all three classes excel in their own ways. I get outgunned most by hunters that strafe really quickly from side to side. What I don't get is why everyone pledges dead orbit.

It's mostly the handling of hunters. Quick, responsive, and precise. Nightstalker was the only one that got most of what a hunter is, right. Just a buff here and there and a few tweaks would make it perfect. Gunslinger and arcstrider could use a bit more and Bungie really should have given them an extra ability tacked on to their dodge like they did nightstalker.

I picked hunter, not because of abilities and powers. Just because I like how it looks and feel... Personally I feel like warlock > titan > hunter in terms of abilities

4 RepliesBecause they are the easiest class to play. I don't main Hunter, but I do have my highest PvP stats with the class even though they are supposedly not as good as the other classes. The jumps and agility alone make up for everything else. Titans could use a buff. :-)
