Hi there.
I'm running this game on this set up:
I7 4790k
Gtx 1080 ti
16 gb 1600 mhz ddr3
500 gb ssd
I'm always aiming on 1080p/144 fps gameplay, cause I prefer refresh rate over resolution. But, to my surprise, Destiny 2 cant reach this goal. My gpu is only working at 50-60% and most of the time the game is only rendering 80-90 fps with video settings set to 1080p/100%. If I activate DSR x2 the gtx 1080 ti has no problem to reach 99% of workload.
At first, I thought that my I7 4790k was showing its age, but yesterday I saw a benchmark with a 8700k/1080ti giving the same results playing at 1080p.
Can anybody tell me if there is any plan to improve this?
Thanks.

1 ReplyOne full year later and I'm having the exact same problem on a very similar rig. i7 4790k / OC 4.4 Ghz / 240mm AIO Cooler GTX 1080 OC'd 16 Gb DDR3 1600 Mhz 256 SSD 1080p 144hz monitor 200 mbs wired ethernet connection Game often hovers around 80-90 fps. Used HW Monitor to see what the bottleneck was. GPU usage around 60%-70% CPU usage on ALL FOUR CORES around 50%-60% Vsync off Not being able to use my 144hz monitor to its full potential, even though there is still headroom on both the GPU and CPU is annoying. I've spent the last few days searching for a solution. Haven't found anything. I'm left just to assume that the game is not well optimized for game-play beyond 60 fps. :(

2 RepliesI've experienced a similar issue with my setup, which is with a gtx 1070 and i7 7800x, It's like there's something limiting the fps but everything like that is off. My gpu only works at about 70% most of the time. If I may ask though, what is DSR x2?

2 RepliesEdited by Zefi: 11/4/2017 9:37:14 PMIt is completley normal that you can not run an online Game at 144 hz all the time. Hell not even lol runs at 144hz in fights. The limiting factor here is the CPU.
