HMGs were a small part in the first game, they were mostly just auto rifles in a heavy slot. There were not used often, but it would still be nice to see “Thunder Lord”, it’s void and solar counterparts, and super good advice return, though they wouldn’t be used much.
P.S guys, thank you so much for all the support on this post!

Edited by Chazland: 11/6/2017 10:07:49 PMOooooooohhhhhhj Yuyyuyeeeesssssss! I loved my Heavy Machine guns. I hated rockets at first. Give me my Zombie Apocolyspe, my Ruin wake, and the one from King’s fall that I can’t remember because bungie wiped all grimoire and data about D1 from the face of the internet. Edited to add.. Oh yes Quillams terminus some poster who never got it reminded me of the name. Yes, it was good. Yes it was fun. Yes it looked awesome. Yes it was satisfying to mow down peeps with it! Edited again to add- Oh oh oh I forgot! The HMG from iron banner in rise of iron. Crap what was it’s name? Loved it. Might just have to sign on to D1 tonight and pull that out in the Crucible!!!!!!!!!

3 RepliesBring Back the heavy machine guns put snipers fusion rifles and shotguns back in the energy slot then fix the grenade launchers.
-
2 RepliesNah dude. HMG's were a problem. They were outperformed by rockets in pve, and they were broken messes in pvp.
-
3 RepliesRemove grenade launchers and bring back heavy machine guns!!!
-
Game's got bigger issues rn.
-
Never cared for them
-
1 ReplyYes, machine guns are fun. Grenade launchers are trash in this game. The Brute Shot in Halo was a better weapon.
-
I'm nit with the salty 16% which most probably never had the chance to use Quillileum's Turmanes
-
What are these heavy machine guns that you talk of? Destiny has never had heavy machine guns... Do you mean light machine guns? And, when you say bring them back, do you mean as they were in year one, or as they were in year two?
-
1 ReplyYes, bring them back. While there at it, bring back the sleeper stimulant!!!!!
-
Machine Guns were awesome. Great single target DPS and some interesting quirks. BTW you’re forgetting the best exotic ever, the Nemesis Star.
-
1 ReplyThey can’t because of “balance” to PVP. Anything you look at in this game and wish could be better, pretty much blame PVP “balance” for keeping t from being that way.
-
They should have never left.
-
4 RepliesYes. Better question. Why where they removed? Better question #2. Why is a sidearm a primary weapon? Better question #3. How many hours were spent on designing the shader system vs hours spent on new exotic weapons and armor
-
The fact that they were removed for the sake of balancing PvP is absolutely disgusting.
-
One thing is for sure, they can take all the sniper rifles back!
-
2 RepliesI'd be fine with just thunderlord
-
There is already one in Destiny 2. Its an exotic... and it goes in your kinetic weapon slot.
http://db.destinytracker.com/d2/en/items/1345867570-sweet-business
Hmgs would be balanced IF they didn't have a stockpile of ammo and you couldn't move while holding them..?
-
7 RepliesWhether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold
-
6 RepliesSince destiny is now 100% balanced for pvp I'd say they probably wont.
-
1 ReplyYou say "they werent used often". I say you were playing wrong.
-
With the way power ammo works it'd be terrible, I'd rather not
-
Yes, but they would really have to reconsider heavy drops in PVP.
-
1 ReplyI’m really missing my Against All Odds heavy MG. This MG saved me from a lot of tight situations even when my light lvl were lower than the enemy’s.
-
1 ReplyThey may or may not have reasons, but... The First D2 Machine Gun has to be Exotic. Amirite????
