1.0.6.1 Patch Random 1 second Stutters

Everytime i fight a large group of enemies i get a massive spike of loss frames. Only happened after patch. I'm not sure what causes this but its pretty annoying. I never ran into this problem last patch or even when playing on EU. Pc Specs: i7 4770k 4.0Ghz 16 GIGS of DDR4 Ram GTX 980SC. UPDATE: This is what happens. Its much much worse in pvp. Every 10 to 15 seconds it happens. In PVE its every min or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEa_f_ljKiU&feature=youtu.be UPDATE 2: Running into micro stutter and weird low fps while turning the camera. Fps is around 100-120 still.

  • I don't know why, but it helped after deleting the cvars.xml file and then relaunching the game. I still get the occasional stutter, but nowhere near as frequently as before.

  • Yup having issues with stuttering as well after the patch today. It's pretty bad and frustrating in crucible. Hopefully they fix it soon and don't break something else in the process lol.

  • Same here. Never happened to me before patch 1.0.6.1. In the EDZ it would hitch like that every time new enemies would spawn in next to me (especially when a public event starts). PC specs: Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB DDR4 3000Mhz, GTX 970. Blizzard region: Europe

  • Is it happening on AMD GPUs as well? I suspect it's not a hardware issue but something to do with fetching the clan data or maybe just player data.

  • Posted in another thread but looks like this is the mega thread. Getting the same issue here, the framerate doesn't drop but it will freeze for like a split second. It's really disrupting and even in PVP. Config: Ryzen 1800x GTX 1080 ti 32GB ram SSD 1440p Gsync and 144hz Running Nvidia 388.13 latest drivers

    • I'm having the same issue here; it never happened before the patch. A couple of my clanmates are experiencing this issue too. I'm running the game on a single 1440p monitor @ 60 fps. Game is installed on my SSD. Windows 10 Home, i7 7700K, GTX1070, 16GB RAM. Nvidia Driver 388.00

      • Same Issue here. Game ran almost perfectly before maintenance today, but after the patch its stuttering for a half second every 10-15 seconds during public events. Ryzen 5 1600 GTX 1080 16gb 3200mhz RAM When game performance gets worse from a patch, it makes me feel sad.

      • I'm wondering if this is also occurring on amd cards and I'm wondering what driver version nvidia users are on? 388.13 has had some bad reports with stutters on other games with people rolling back to 388 and 385.69 with success.

        • Are you in a clan? Stuttering began when I joined a clan and didn't realize it until I read a post about it. Try leaving the clan and restarting battle.net or your computer. Since I've left everything runs a lot smoother. This was however prior to the new patch. I'm at work so haven't had chance to play today.
