1.0.6.1 Patch Random 1 second Stutters

Everytime i fight a large group of enemies i get a massive spike of loss frames. Only happened after patch. I'm not sure what causes this but its pretty annoying. I never ran into this problem last patch or even when playing on EU. Pc Specs: i7 4770k 4.0Ghz 16 GIGS of DDR4 Ram GTX 980SC. UPDATE: This is what happens. Its much much worse in pvp. Every 10 to 15 seconds it happens. In PVE its every min or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEa_f_ljKiU&feature=youtu.be UPDATE 2: Running into micro stutter and weird low fps while turning the camera. Fps is around 100-120 still.

  • I've had the FPS issue before and after the hotfix. Getting stuttering on top of it now. I used to stay at 72 all the time on ultra settings when the game first came out, now it usually never goes above 55-60, and often dips to 30-40. Specs: Ryzen 1600 3.2 GHZ (no OC), 1080 TI (no OC), RAM 16 BG, Win 10

Skelder#1931 Specs are in the files. I should also mention that MSI Afterburner never reported CPU and GPU usage over 80% during gameplay. * Slow degration while playing on any planet after a while * Frame Stutters & Drops during gameplay * Massive frame drop at the farm at the spawning location. Seems to be related to the number of guardians on screen. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8x5JoC7xHi9UFkybm04bXlYd1U

  • So damn painful. I started experiencing this right when I logged in after the patch and immediately got pissed. Hope it's fixed soon, was planning on finishing the raid this weekend but this definitely makes it much less enjoyable.

I posted on another post of how I fixed it for myself. This is about the Microstutter while turning without framerate drop. Hope this helps for you as well. I was having the same issue. I ended up fixing it on my system by doing the following. I opened display settings in windows (not the NVidia or AMD software) playing around with my new monitors refresh rate settings. I was checking overall performance on different refresh rates. After setting all of them back when I was finished, my stutter had went away the next time I loaded the game. I believe the game was somehow conflicting with the windows settings. I don't know if is the same with you, but it fixed my problem. If you need to know how to change the refresh rate in windows (again not your GPU Driver software) google How to adjust Monitor Refresh Rate for your operating system. Hope this helps. (I Should note, I also turned Vsync off and back on if you are using Gsync, disable and re-enable it.)

    • Guys, except game freezes 1-2 sec - does someone have a problem with the loss of smoothness camera? After 10-20 min the camera starts to move with micro jerks, as if all the time clinging to something, fps does not drop.

Yep. Happening here as well. I don't know how many engagements I lost due to it in crucible last night; never happened before the patch. Fx 8350 / gtx 970

      • I am also experiencing this issue. Just random stutters ever since the patch. It's not terrible or anything but it's annoying, and seems to happen more often when lots of guardians are around

Fresh install of D2 on a brand new SSD. Played PvP Quickplay, lot of micro freezes / stutter every 20 seconds or so for about half a second or second. When roaming around on Nessus I got those micro stutters every minute or so. Hadn't this issue before 1.0.6.x. • Same issue in PVP. But for me these are not frame drops, it's just hitching but frame rate counter (if it's to be believed) remains at stable 145 it never displays any drops or variation. However in these moments, for example when I get shot in the Crucible, everything just freezes for like quarter of a second. Nvidia Geforce 1080Ti, Intel 7700k. Nvidia driver: 388.00 ("destiny 2 ready driver").
