Edit: Added Randal
All those saying Ghaul is strong and not weak, the traveller fears Oryx and the Hive and others aligned to the darkness. Ghaul wasn't even that. And besides if we hadn't killed him the traveler would have just blown him up anyway.
So what, he got to the traveler and for a brief moment starved us of our light, but let's face it.....
Atheon - Time travelling manipulator of reality
Crota - Son of a Hive God, invincible but for his sword, slaughtered hundreds of guardians. Thousands of years old
Oryx - A God personally gifted power by the Deep. Can only be killed in his own realm. Can take the Will of enemies to fight for him
Aksis - Bio enginered overlord of death and destruction. Can self replicate and change others
Calus - Has a massive planet eating ship. True leader of the Cabal has thousands of other versions of himself.
Skolas - Meanest mofo the galaxy has ever seen. Even the Nine are afraid of him. (Actually hardest boss in Destiny pre nerf).
Ghaul - Pissed off space turtle with a grudge against humanity, has a an army.
Randal the Vandal - Eats gjallarhorns for breakfast and craps over all who dares kill his pet shank.
It's not Canon I know, but really our enemies need to be a bit more threatening.
-
To be fair, Ghaul had a weapon to destroy the sun

-
Don't worry, the gould are coming....
-
Ghaul was a breeze on my Titan and Warlock. For no reason on my Hunter, he activated insta-kill troll mode. He just threw shit at me until I died. I think I had 10 deaths from that.
-
3 RepliesWhy are you comparing a story boss to raid bosses? The black garden statue fights were easy as well.
-
1 ReplyI felt bad for Ghaul... No one would accept him, not even the traveler :(
-
3 RepliesI would have liked to see gary escape. Beg forgiveness from the emperor. And to prove his redemption face us within the raid as a pre calus raid boss fight with light powers!
-
You also forgot that Calus has the ultra powerful Right Side of the Void, slayer of guardians and destroyer of worlds.
-
Rockets mcdickface > ghaul
-
3 RepliesVog dude was hardest all those glitches
-
i thought his name was Gary...
-
I think he will be like Dr Manhatten and reconstruct gaining immortality but not that level of power. Basically a ghost less guardian type of deal. Though no more powerful than he was on the ship and limited like us except he doesn't need travel or for the light. The light is all around.
-
1 ReplyI wasn't impressed by Gaul in the end - I thought he was going to escape all superhero villain style and we'd fight him in the raid. But he died to a level 17 guardian with blue weapons. Not impressed.
-
garry wanted to tow the traveler back to god knows where😨 that's pretty scary
-
Comparing a campaign boss to a raid or PoE boss isn't really that good of a comparison. Compare the first time you fought Fhaul to the first time you fought Oryx in Regicide...honestly, Ghaul was a bit tougher. Oryx was basically just a more healthy strike boss.
-
...you forgot SYLOK, THE DEFILED! He thirsted for our light and squashed us like a bottle. Truly our ultimate nemesis.
-
All of these except Skolas is a raid boss.. Ghaul was introductory story boss.
-
5 RepliesPre nerf Qodron was probably harder than most of the above 😂
-
Hmmm you forgot Randall.....
-
Well let's not forget there was a weapon like this close to blowing up our friggin sun. Just sayin.
-
don't forget Randal. they made an entirely new game, and he still survived.
and xylar
what did ghaul do? torture an old charlatan to death?
-
1 ReplyYou got to include the Randal the Vandal on Earth. He was weak for the most part, but every once in a while it took a team of four to kill him.
-
With the mediocrity of story that this game has, it's the enemy that we deserve.
-
Yet they've all been soloed.

16 RepliesEdited by Billy Dont Rage: 11/3/2017 5:17:58 AMSkolas wasn’t the baddest mofo in the galaxy, the nine were not scared of him, and same with Aksis, dear. The rest are gods, so a hit hard to compare to Ghual
-
3 RepliesYeah, I was a little disappointed in the Ghaul fight. Easiest finish to a campaign ever. I was waiting for him to respawn, nothing, then thought we’d see him in the raid as is usually the case, still nothing. And he took our light and used it against us, you can tell they nerfed supers too much bc Ghaul wasn’t even a threat
