I know this is just an attempt at trolling but I’ll answer your points anyway.
1. Totally subjective point. You didn’t think the story was epic. I did. Who’s right? Both of us I guess. That’s how opinions work. As for the “improved” bit - easily D2 is an improvement over D1. I’ve played countless hours of D1 and still have absolutely no idea what the “plot” of D1 was. The story in D1 was so bad that I didn’t even care that I had no idea who I was supposed to be fighting and why. It was totally and instantly forgettable.
2. Yes there is no completely meaningless number for factions anymore. The number didn’t mean anything at all in D1. You didn’t get any additional reward for levelling up factions beyond the one you got for getting to the next rank. So it’s exactly the same in D2 but without the pointless number.
3. Crucible lacks options. You win that one. I completely agree.
4. How are you levelling up your faction without joining one? I don’t know how it works on PC but on consoles we had a timed event called a faction rally where you joined a faction (one per character).
5. The Grimoire was never in game for D1. Lore in D2 can be accesed by pressing the show lore button for the gun or piece of armour you are looking at. I’ve no idea what the controls for that are on PC but on PS4 it’s the L2 button I think. There is also objects in the environment that you can scan that give you lore. But I agree the Grimoire should be in the game. Just like it should of been in the game for D1.
