What upsets me the most about this game, is how obvious it is that they have content waiting and ready to be played... after you pay more money for dlc.
This game just dropped in September and already in December it will recieve it's first dlc... 3 months is all my $60 game is worth? And not even a full 3 months since I have nothing to do but 4 objectives a week that get completed within the first 6-10 hours after reset.
No trials for the past 2 weeks because they didn't write their code well enough to prevent an emote from straight breaking the game...
No factions to grind for outside of the 4 generic reskinned "new" planets or faction rally that lasts a week.
No reason to run strikes since there is no strike specific gear to farm or perk rolls to hope for.
And the raid gives little to no loot because they want the casuals to have a chance to get max level too. Cause these days everything has to be equal and fair. We are all the same decaying matter no ine is special... And on the off chance the raid does give loot it is no different than the gear I get from strikes, or vendors, or events, or crucible.
And of course that goes double for prestige modes.
This game is just another hollow shell with a title slapped on it to trick a devoted and sadly betrayed player base into forking over more money. This game is a lie and a fraud. And it crushes my spirit to think this is the kind of studio bungie has become.
A studio that showed so much passion in the games they used to make. A studio that made titles like Oni and Halo. A studio that created this hardcore devoted fan base that fell in love with the stories it once created.
But now they are clearly motivated by one thing. And could care less what their fans, the people who made them as successful as they are, think or feel or have to say about their work.
Instead they strive to deliver the least amount of content for the most payout. It's disgusting and heartbreaking.

What happened to Bungie?
The higher ups got greedy and signed a contract with Activision. In doing so they lost some key people that actually cared about making an actual game. This is Destiny's future and the company is not called "Bungie" anymore. This is Bungievision that is fulfilling Activision vision. Pump out a half backed game like COD. Lie to your player base and make promises to fix the game later to give the false hope to keep gamers playing the game. They need to hand the rights over. The destroyed the game themselves because of their greed. I actually feel kind of bad for the devs that actually have the talent to make an actual game watching their work go to waste...

Just drop Activision. They are making everything worse. Literally everything. You can fund your own game with how big your fan base is.
-
What happened? Seriously? There's 750 "Bungie" employees, and only 27 are originals (of 60) from 1991-2010 before Activision flooded them with their own people. True story.

52 RepliesWhat happened to Bungie? They made a great game for people that havent forgotten how to have fun with games. You entitled kids of today wouldnt have survived previous console generations where we just played for fun. We didnt feel games owed us something more than being fun to play. We didnt need a reward for every activity before we would even consider doing it. We didnt need a carrot on a end of a stick to keep playing. When you grow up you might understand what im saying but for now just keep slinging your salt and toxicity. Its what your generation is best known for.

The evil space parasite called activision crawled its way inside bungie's headquarters, devouring the brains and hearts of all bungie's team.
bungie put an xp cooldown
You do know that the Dark Below was released in December 2014 about 3 months after the games release lol You make some good points though.

19 RepliesDid you even play Halo?
-
Greed at it's best, they will try to milk the franchise before it's dead.

This is what happens when suits who have never touched a controller in their lives get to make the decisions.

Thus should explain everything

17 RepliesBungie wanted to be free from Microsoft so they could produce games on other platforms. They even sacrificed their beautiful creation, Halo and half their people to do it. So those who didn't want to let Halo go split with Frankie to form the MS studio 343i, and the rest became 'free' Bungie. But changes were made, they needed to be run like a business now if they were to survive on their own, so now they have their managing directors and CEOs etc, Corporate Bungie. So there they are out in the free world looking for a producer, and I'll bet everyone from EA to Ubisoft was bidding for their next exciting game. Bungie had the world at their feet. Then Activision came and offered $500m over a 10 year contract, I bet Corporate Bungie couldn't sign fast enough. But now look what they've done to themselves, they complained that they were trapped by Microsoft for 10+ years and wanted freedom, but MS always gave them space and time to perfect their Halo games. With Activision they have 10 years to pay back $500m plus interest, strict deadlines and tighter contract conditions. Their greed and blindness led them straight back to where they were before, but worse. We'll never get servers because Bungie can't afford them, and why should they when we all still buy the games? They aren't allowed to comment or converse with us without permission and Activisions way of dealing with negative feedback is to ignore it until it goes away. They trapped themselves again, I have no pity for the greedy Corporate side of Bungie. But I feel for the designers who find themselves locked in stocks to continue the project, or out the door like Staten and O'Donnell.

Activision is the new Microsoft, nothing is new here

2 RepliesYour characters are 305, 305, 303..... Stop, it’s obvious you are desperate for attention.

I feel that Bungie needs to die, this company is Bungie only by name. We should all go get some therapy and forget Destiny ever existed, because this beautiful dream has turned into a nightmare.
-
Bungie sold themselves to the devil. They only care about money If you don't buy the dlc you'll be locked out content just like D1 all over again, to get your wallet out. And as for the issues of the game, throwing money at the screen doesn't them fixed any faster, it won't make Bungie listen to us at all, there's nothing we can do. Just spread your knowledge that this game is going to die, there's nothing left for hardcore players only casuals because that's where the money is.
-
This is pure corporate greed, they haven’t even bothered to pretend to make an effort.
-
They fired Marty. They fired Dinklage. They let that asshat Luke Smith destroy Bungies rep. Activi$ion put the nail in the coffin with Eververse. Pretty much sums it up.

The man that wrote all the halo games (joe Staten) left Bungie 6 months before D1 released. That’s why this franchise is a joke
-
Activision. The firing of Staten and scrapping his ideas then badly rehashing it later when they couldn’t come up with their own stuff. Luke Smith. Not for his money grab but the stupid “one person shouldn’t make decisions the team should” crap. Cause obviously that one guy had better ideas then the team and someone was butthurt that their name wasn’t on top.
-
Biggest mistake Bungo made was to let Luke ' the gimp' Smith be in charge. That guy needs to be sent into Guantanamo!
-
What if it's not all Activision what if it's also bungie
-
Same thing that's been happening to all the companies since the mid 2000s when the super publishers started buying up studios. Hard to believe that Activision went from a pioneer of gaming in the 80s to what they are now and it's infecting studios like Bungie. These companies were founded by gamers or engineers who loved making games but now they're run by professional suits who never touched a controller.

Real Bungie ended in 2010, current Bungie is a name and logo purchased by Activision
