in a cannon perspective. Or its it some other guardian that didn't experience anything from the first destiny game?

I took two with me and made one new one. I deleted him from D1 because he was the one I was most ashamed of looks wise. I took my time making him more appealing and was happy so started the game only to find when I'd finished the story and decided to take his helmet off he looked nothing like I had designed and his face must have had plastic surgery along the way as he looked like that human ken doll guy.
-
I deleted all three and started fresh. I have also ranked up and deleted the new characters just for something to do.

1 ReplyNew characters are still new guardians, but characters from D1 are still the same and have special veteran dialogue depending on their achievements in the last 3 years. New guardians dialogue makes it sound like you and your ghost don’t know what anything is. For example when you first meet the Taken. If you’re a D1 veteran that has encountered the Taken before, the dialogue shows that by ghost recognizing them. If you’re a new player, ghost is clueless and ikora tells you what they are instead. There’s multiple places in the campaign that have these differences, as well as scannables. If there’s one thing bungie did right with the character transfers it’s this.
they should fix it for the pc guys. They’re missing out, and it wouldn’t even be a hard thing to fix. Just add a questionnaire before you start a character asking if you played D1 and if you did it’d just ask what you did and didn’t do.
2 RepliesI deleted the character that transferred over. I wanted to change his/her face. Since Bungie doesn’t allow a chance to change cosmetics other then craptastic shaders.
-
Nope, decided to make my exo titan white this time.
-
From the beta
-
All of mine carried over from d1. I wouldnt, however, sully the virtue of my huntress, by making her experience this shitshow.
-
3 RepliesApparently so, Slightly off topic. So without light we can fall from from a great height, just above traveller (I think), and survive, but with light we can die from much less of a fall. #nosensedestiny

If you played D1 and got your character transferred, then yes. If you didn’t play D1, then no
-
I'm playing the same 3 characters that I had in the Beta of D1... If I'd have known that I'd be stuck with my somewhat flamboyant 'Awoken' haircut for four years, I would have chosen a different one! :p
Years of playing MMO's led me to think 'Doesn't matter too much, I'm sure I'll be able to change it later...'
Oddly, my character was still referred to as Saladin's young wolf, despite that I deleted my characters from Destiny 1 after Rise of Iron. (Too much alcohol combined with irritation at pvp full of sidearms due to ammo retention led to a bad choice.) My hunter looks pretty similar, so I've decided to think she just got a haircut; warlock and titan totally different.
-
Nope. All them bitches died when my vault died. My day one hunter looked like a lesbian, not the attractive kind. My Titan looked like an oversized gorilla and the Warlcok was an exo.
-
-
My Titan came over. My warlock is new. Had to delete my hunter's D2 profile for logistical reasons, but will try to recreate her as closely as possible when I do opt to play a hunter. If I do so.
-
There all 3 the same on my game did u not see the lil book at yhe beginning. It goes from vog to rise of iron clearly same gaurdians
-
I feel like at any point if you 'died' trying to get to Hawthorns Camp it became a New Guardian experience (like when Ghost first found you in D1).
-
Same 3 characters from D1. Players that have kept the first 3 characters thay created should have some special emblem, emote etc. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
-
Yes I believe so
-
Holiday refers to your gaurdian as "The gaurdian [Zavala] never shut[s]up about." So my guess is yes.
-
My hunter looks exactly as he did during D1 beta. My Warlock and Titan were remade when we got the vault space increase (one at a time so I could store all of their gear and get them back to max light fast). My view: In D2, they are the same characters that I killed Atheon, Crota, Oryx and Aksis with. They defeated Skolas when he was the hardest boss we've ever seen in the game. They all got their butts handed to them by Randal the Vandal on more than one occasion (anyone else guilty of going to the Forgotten Shore specifically looking for Randal?).
Go to Sunken Isles in D2. The new Randal spawns near the water to your right and a to your front - go to where the Public Event spawns. He is orange bar. Sometimes he dies quickly. Sometimes he releases his inner Randal and is a lot tougher to kill. He's not as tough as OG Level 8 Randal though.
I've spent a lot of time on all three characters and enjoy playing them all. D2 is just another step in the journey. I can't wait for the upcoming DLC (yep I bought it already... bought them all).

4 RepliesWell Saladin didn't recognize us, but Shaxx did so the answer is; yesno
-
My nightstalker (human hunter) is the same character I've had since y1 destiny. My other two characters have been changed several times over. Transferring from d1 I had two warlocks (originally had one of each but hated d1 titans). When I started d2 I remade those two warlocks into a warlock and titan. A couple of weeks ago I deleted the warlock and titan and made two more hunters, one for each race, faction, and subclass
-
Obviously it's your orriginal
-
Your dialog in the game depends on what you did in d1. If you never did rise of iron you never became a iron wolf so shaxx would have said something not related to your being a iron wolf. Sane goes for all dlc there's plenty of dialog changes in order to enhance a person's experience. Especially if that person never played before You likely didn't check something off for the dialog to recognize you on that reasons
-
Its the same one.

Wiped mine clean wanted to redo faces.
