How are people getting heavy ammo in the first forty seconds of the game?
I don't play Crucible more than I have to, but I'm noticing that for several games now, I'm getting killed right at the beginning of the game by someone with a sword or a rocket launcher. Now, my belief has been that it take a couple of minutes at least to get heavy ammo out of one of the ammo spawn locations, but there must be something I don't know about. I'm playing on PS4 so I figure most likely there isn't any cheating happening, but there must be some heavy buff, some armor buff, some way to get heavy faster than normal.
(Personally, I don't think heavy --or supers-- belong in the Crucible at all, but if [i]someone[/i] can have it, then I need to be able to have it too.)
Can anyone explain this to me?

First power ammo in clash and supremacy spawns after 30 seconds in the middle. The next power spawns after 1 minute on both sides.

3 RepliesI think the first heavy ammo node is on a 30-second timer. Power weapons and supers are definitely here to stay, but an optional playlist where power ammo and supers were disabled (think: opposite of mayhem) might be kinda cool.

1 ReplyYa, some of the heavy spawns very early on some of the maps, and good players have noticed. So have those killed by said heavy so early. Learn and adapt.

I notice that too! It must be a glitch in the game because I’m on Xbox 1.

1 ReplySwords still swing without ammo. I believe they do less damage though.
