So I've been playing D2 Crucible just about every day since it came out or at least several days a week. I'm getting used to the team-shoot single strategy aspect of it. It can be a bit frustrating but I'm not complaining about that because I like the challenge of finding a way to win.
What I'm noticing now more than the first month is that just about every match has a drop from my team if it's a tough match from go. Happens mostly when the other team is coordinated and were randoms. Recently finished a 2-4 match against a full clan and still was within 5 points or so in supremacy. I don't care. I'm getting used to the new engagement style. If i'm surrounded, i'll retreat and flank.
Here is the issue - my efficiency is always very high and I normally finish 1 or 2 every round but when I check the tracker DB's online I'm shocked to see a .97 K/D. But I rarely run into a 1-1 firefight, where I can always hold my own. If i'm in a tight firefight peaking around corners I get him to a sliver of red then he gets flanked and killed by someone else. So was this an assist for me? is it simply the last bullet?
I think the online KD info is causing people to dip out against coordinated teams when they are on a random team. Yah it sucks to get your @ss kicked but I'm playing this for fun not for my online ranking that is using different metrics to calculate everyting.
Anybody know how the KDA stuff is being calculated?

2 RepliesK/D is kills divided by deaths KA/D is kills plus assists divided by deaths K/DA is kills divided by deaths plus assists; an assist becomes half a kill essentially. Kills go to the person who deals the final blow; for this reason K/D isn't a very good measurement of player efficiency in D2 which is why it's not tracked in game.
