while i agree that on console this game has some of the highest aim assist ive ever seen for pve, there has to be some or it would feel terrible to play this game especially with people being able to double jump and all that stuff. I play destiny on pc now and i swear they even have some aim assist on here too i could be wrong though, but for some reason it feels like it .

Yes there is aim assist if you use a controller. Not if you’re on mouse and keyboard.
-
You can use programs to convince the game you're using a controller but you use KB/M and then you still get aim assist. SMH what a huge flaw. On console I guess I get it but for PC this is unacceptable. The amount of people instant headshotting me in crucible is disgusting lol.

Edited by I 8OO DIRT NAP: 10/31/2017 2:34:16 AMDo you have any proof of this? Aim assist on PC is a complete hindrance that totally -blam!-s up your aim/ accuracy. The only thing that it does is take a -10 player to -8. You’re experiencing people that can actually aim on PC. Which can be insanely accurate.
-
It's as much a hindrance as a bonus. Those people headshotting you would do the same on any pc game. The aim assist stops you dragging onto your target or drags you off sometimes.
-
Ya I’ve heard of that. Not sure how effective it is though. I mean, do you really need aim assist if you’re using a mouse? Would it be detrimental to your aim?
-
Ok that only works on PC. You can’t have a console shooter without aim assist, especially with Destiny’s movement mechanics and ttk. Please try to shoot a Nighstalker when he goes invisible. That’s how it will feel without aim assist, and the game will flop even harder if it’s like tat.
-
The invis doesn't even work.. you can still see them. Maybe I am bias because I typically only play PC. But, the fact that PC has aim assist too smh what a bad design.
-
Ya I know where you’re coming from. Mouse and keyboard doesn’t have aim assist because of the precision you can have with it. A joystick on a controller is no where nearly as close, thus all console shooters have a form of aim assist.
-
But destiny 2 on PC is not a console shooter so it should not have Aim assist.
-
But remove aim assist, no one will use controller, meaning 50% of the playerbase wouldn't play D2. Then you wouldn't find games in an already tiny player pool
-
50% of the PC player base is using controller? I really doubt that...
-
Overall playerbase users went up by around 700k on pc release day. That'll soon fade to very low numbers given a few weeks. But I get it, I played cod on wiiu with a wii mote for a few years, n hated controller aim assist, I guess wii mote was kinda like MnK. Used to be huge arguments about wii mote vs controller.
-
You know how many console players bought it on pc too, and the vast majority of those use controllers. Ok, it's not 50% but you get my point. Destiny is super casual and played mainly by addicts. These morons are hyped playing the exact same game they're complained about nonstop for 4 weeks. Give it another week, after the raid and trials, the salt will set in, lol.
