Destiny 2, Extremely long loading time and my fireteam gets blackscreen whenever we start a nf or strike

Hi, I have extremely long loading times and whenever I start a nf or strike my fireteam gets black screen except for me untill we get into the nf/strike. My pc specs are : AMD Radeon R9 390, 8 GB ram, intelcore i5-6400 2,70 Ghz . I already tried reparing the client and reinstalling but it did not help. I'm confused why my loading times are so long because I have no performance issues ingame and also my network is really good with really fast internet. does anyone know this problem or know how to fix this? contact me please! Regards, Nevs

  • I’m having the same issue. It’s been going on for the last few weeks out of the blue

  • Roll Back your AMD drivers as per this thread: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/240978742?sort=0&page=0 I just did this and it worked 100% for me

    • I have this same issue. AMD Radeon RX480, 16 GB ram, Intel-core I5-7500 @3.40GHz, Windows 10. Loading into the tower is taking the longest amount of time, 2-12min, and each planet/ flying time is around 2-5min and I get loading wheel in game at various checkpoints. The people in my fire-team get a black screen when flying until I load in. In the tower everything takes a very long time to open. I am using SSD only and do not have an HDD. My router and modem are 4 years old but I have no issues with them outside of this game. I have changed multiple settings, Uninstalled and re-installed the Blizzard client and Destiny 2 with no change. Seems to me like there is a server issue.

    • Hi there, Are you still encountering this issue? If you have not already, you may want to try the following troubleshooting steps: 1) Close and relaunch the Destiny 2 client and Blizzard application 2) Ensure you have updated your drivers to their most recent versions and accepted all Windows updates 3) Delete your existing CVARS.xml file using the guide here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46407
