In my limited experience with the Leviathan raid, I've noticed that a lack of a 1 Rotation mechanic which allows much more skilled players to complete the Gauntlet faster makes the room feel more like a chore compared to the other three. The room has a very specific way to be beaten, and it can't be sped up in any way.
My suggestion?
1. Reduce the number of pedestals in the middle from 9 to 8
2. Add the following mechanic:
- Once the runners take their orbs, a flag spawns bellow each of the 4 set of arrows. These flags are shielded.
- If the runners can make it through the gauntlet without ever slowing down, they will make it to the center in time for the next mechanic.
- When the 2nd orb is slammed into the center (and both are required to survive on that round), a wave of energy gives power to the 4 that were not runners so long as they were inside the center dome.
- With this power, the four can melee the flag.
- If anyone is too slow, the flags will reset, the four will lose their energy, and the room will move on to the next phase like normal.
- If all four flags are punched in time, the gauntlet will immediately go to the final phase were everyone runs.
- Keep in mind that this means all 6 people will need to make it to the end, or else they won't have enough orbs (unless this was triggered in round 2 instead of round 1)
This is only a rough idea, but it rewards very skilled players with the ability to finish the gauntlet quickly. However, this makes the section where everyone runs much harder because a single death means they won't have enough orbs (unless they trigger this in the 2nd round).
