The End of My Legend

I got on today feeling excited because I hadn't played in several days. I thought "maybe it's gotten better, or I need to give it another chance". I noticed only one of my clan members on so I invited him to a party. We decided to go to Io and do some pub events. The first and only one we did was a cabal drilling event. We had been talking for a while and we noticed that the ship that you have to kill in order to trigger the heroic event did not fly by as it usually does. Instead it was glitches behind a part of the mountain high above. It was at this point that we both came to terms with the fact that the game is boring. After that we both went our separate way and logged off. To make a long story short, I logged on for ~8 minutes today and did literally nothing. This game is bone dry and there isn't anything to do for anyone who has done it all. On top of that there isn't any replay ability whatsoever. In the TWAB that was released I was extremely optimistic. Everything that was said I was happy about. But, it's too far down the road. I'm sad to say that these changes are too far away for me to keep interest in the game. It is the same with my friends. I have had times where the 30+ friends on my friends page were all in destiny 2 and now I can safely say it's only ever a maximum of 5. In my opinion, fixing a game late will not have the retention affect I believe bungie thinks it will. Many hardcore players have moved on, and now I will be doing the same. Now don't get me wrong, vanilla destiny was by no means a masterpiece, but this game fits into the same category, just with some gold paint around the edges. I was never a hardcore player; at least not until the taken king then I'd consider myself heavily invested. I put in hundreds of hours and I've done the same with destiny 2. One other thing I'd like to mention is that I have 100% of the achievements. There was little to no challenge involved and to this day it is the first game I've ever gotten 100% of the achievements on. Now you can look through my previous posts or comments and roast me fine. But I won't be able to see it. I'm pretty sure this is the last time I'll be using this app for a while and I'd thought I would give an honest look into the current state of the game. While I feel sad about the game, I know that other guardians will pick it up and enjoy it, so stay frosty those of you who will. As for me, my legend ended when the destiny 2 campaign began. I'd like to think the story of my journey from the first game wasn't a waste but it has been ignored by the writers. As far as I'm concerned, my guardian died protecting the tower. Thank you
