The new ViDoc says Jun is unmatched but do you really think a spartan III could be better then Linda?
-
I believe you all guys take the Books waaaayyy more seriously than the games... Jun=S-III - Age 28 Linda=S-II - Age 40+ Both trained since children, both augmented. Linda got a rather long Military Career (30+ years?), Jun is rather young with around 19 years of Military Career...Linda is far more experienced on the field than Jun and her Augmentations probably got better from the time. However, Jun got a better, more tactical equipment on his Mjolnir Mark V armor, while Linda still uses her Base Mark V. I still believe that, should Linda ever appears into gameplay she would be a bit better than Jun... [Edited on 10.02.2010 6:06 PM PDT]

Linda took out banshees while being attached to a rope... what did Jun do that awsome?... Linda beats Jun The way I see it is Jun is outmatched among the S-IIIs, S-IIs are very superior to them.
Posted by: ajw34307
Posted by: Chaozhound I'm wondering how there was Spartan 3s on Reach when they come from training from Kurt who was on Reach...Linda is obviously better since she is still alive. TAKE THAT JUN!
Carter, Emile and Jun are from Alpha Company (trained roughly 20 years before the battle of Reach); Kat and B312 are from Beta Company (trained roughly 10 years before the battle of Reach).
I was under the impression that the only Spartans were the Spartan 2s who all trained together.

Linda is better, we've seen her exploits, know her record, all we have is "hey dude, this Jun guy is the be ever!"

Perhaps she was just comparing him to the rest of the S-III's?
Posted by: Hysterical Joker
Posted by: RVB Fan 123 I'd say Linda's better. I haven't heard Jun do a cooler sniper attack like when Linda was taking out those Banshees.
Oh, and let's not forget she was hanging upside down, firing one handed, and angled herself just right so that the light would reflect off her armor in such a way as to make her invisible to the naked eye. Yeah Jun, keep melee'ing Elites.
This my friends, is Linda winning.

Halsey needs to get her facts right, Jun -blam!- sucked in Reach. Linda is epic, she can snipe Banshees whilst upside down .
-
Jun vs Linda. That's like putting Fred and Emile in a knife fight.

linda is the better, if for nothin else than op exp

Linda was trained from the age of 7 to be a spartan. She accompanied John on Multiple Suicide missions only to prevail and return alive. At one point in Onyx, she hangs upside down from a repelled rope and provides sniper cover fire for her team. Im not saying shes better, but shes more iconic.

Exactly HJ. I think that feat alone proves Linda is the superior Sniper.

Does anyone know the size of the ports of a Banshee? Where the pilot sits? Because if I can recall correctly Linda has been known to take out a few Banshees before. More then a few.
Sniped pilots through the slits in the Banshee, while it's flying around at nearly full speed.

Linda wins hands down. All Jun has done to show his prowess in Reach is missing Sniper shots, then running up to Elites and melee'ing them.
-
I say Linda is better, that is because SIIs>SIIIs. AND THATS FINAL! SIII's had rushed training, and were mass produced. Where as the Sii's were carefully selected by Dr. Hasley. By the time SpartanIIIs came around the program was training vast amounts, and therefore they were dubbed 'disposable heroes'. Cause they never went through was killed half of the SpartanIIs trainees.

Jun is FTW

I don't have the link, but I know it's somewhere up in HBO's forums. Edit: Link Found According to Staten it does stack as games being the priority, then books, finally marketing. However the general rule of thumb is that if something new contradicts something old, the new content automatically replaces the old content. So if new books came out in addition to games that contradict info from the older games and books, then that information is rectonned.
That's the link. Thanks for finding it.
Posted by: Honourable Elite Indeed. I don't even know where the Community gets their info from sometimes. If Bungie didn't support the books, they wouldn't have even been published. Phazon probably has the better idea of that phrase from the ViDoc. [Edited on 08.21.2010 3:14 AM PDT]
