Keep people playing. Add a DAILY LOGIN bonus?
Each day someone logs in they get some silver or maybe some tokens.
If they successfully log in 7 days in a row (every tuesday) give them a hand full of bright engrams.
Just and idea, but I think a daily login bonus could really do this game some good.

We do sorta have a daily login bonus. Comes in the form of "daily missions". This apparently worked for D1 because our legendary marks were originally capped at 200. So your incentive to do those daily missions was rather high. However, with d2 daily logins. We just get planet tokens with our missions. Woop.... Doesn't help in a static roll weapon system

Instead of just a login the bonus should have an activity requirement. It does not have to be extensive. Anything from completing a public event, or something with multiple requirements, such as a Challenge. As for the reward, tokens or one bright engram is about the most Bungie would consider rewarding players at the end of 7 days.

They mustn’t be thankful we play their garbage any more.

1 ReplyThis is a Triple A title. Not candy crush or your mini grinder phone app with 1.99 micro transactions to get rid of ads. I wouldn't be pleased to have a system that circumvent the purpose of daily challenges where people actually have to play and not just login for 1 minute and leave. Either you play or you don't.

A free bright engram would be the only thing that would of remotely interest me to login in each day, but that means Bungie earns less money on the micro transactions so that's not going to happen

I've seen this done for other games. To me it seems that it works for a while but after a while people stop caring about the log in 'bonus'. Especially when noting appealing is attaiable with the bonus in a timely fashion or it's just not worth the effort to save all the bonus material to turn in(such as tokens). I think I could work if done correctly but only if something other than tokens from daily bounties are able to drop in addition to daily rewards.

There’s no rewards right now. I think everyone, if they haven’t already, are close to obtaining every piece of gear that this game has to offer. Mostly due to lack of diversity, (static rolls.) tokens and glimmer are just gonna build up in my inventory, along with legendary shards and raid tokens.

1 ReplyNo. One thing I hate about D2 is how they give legendary guns and exotics out so easily. I've never been one to complain about drop rate in d1 so I was fine. But in D2 it's way too high for the small weapon pool it has

Dailey login on would only be just that lol. Till the game gets new/more content the pop will only drop further. The bonus would really only incentive those who are still playing, good luck getting me to play again.

1 ReplyThere is no “Carrot on a stick” in Destiny 2. No must have weapons like Gjallarhorn or Fatebringer. No god roll Eyasluna to chase after. What we have now is a shallow game catered to “balance”. Balance is boring.

Your log in bonus is friendship though, same as end game rewards. On a serious note, D2 doesn't have anything you could give that people would want, we're already drowning in shards and dust from the hundreds of useless ghost shells.
