Hi All,
I've had an issue since launch where i could play for around an hour before the game crashed with the error 'Problem Reading Game Content' appearing.
After searching the forums I've found that a lot of people have the same issue but no fixes.
Well today I decided to try setting both the Battle.net.exe & Destiny2.exe app in the install folder to 'run as administrator' and it fixed it, played solidly for around 6 hours today with no crashes at all.
Navigate to your Destiny 2 install folder -> right click on the destiny2.exe app -> click properties -> compatibility -> tick the box 'run as administrator'.
Worked for me, might work for you!

This "fix" does not work. Bungie, when will you finally fix this and stop stealing $100 from kids who cannot play since launch? Give us our $100 back you thieves

I set every .exe file in both Destiny 2 and Battlenet to run as administrator. When I boot up Battlenet I will get the popup that asks if I want to launch it (the yes or no box) but when I go to hit play for Destiny 2 within Battlenet, I don't get the admin popup box for Destiny 2. When I try to launch D2 outside of Battlenet, I will get the admin popup box but the game won't let me play and says I have to launch within Battlenet. Is there a way to still get the game to run in admin mode while launching from Battlenet?

1 ReplyATTENTION!! Guys, Running as Admin, both the destiny2.exe and blizzard launcher has fixed this issue for me. I have no idea why something like that would fix this but it has. I played 2 sessions yesterday for 5 and 7 hours straight no issues. Just try it, it can't hurt.
