I am as casual of a player as it gets. I don’t do raids or trials, I play solo only, I am ok with slow progression for folks like me as opposed to fast progression for hardcore players, as long as this progression exists.
Currently there is absolutely no reason to play Destiny 2. Bungie managed to screw up the main driving dynamics of Destiny, the donkey-carrot relationship. Donkey now knows there’s no carrot. All the exciting shiny engrams drop at 260, and it’s all duplicates. There’s a green sniper rifle, forgot its name, I literally got it 50 times, I counted. Nightfall has a timer. As a casual player I want to go alone into nightfall and see what I can do there alone no matter how much time it takes. This is my casual solo gameplay style, this is my choice. Bungie says I can’t have even that much fun, timer kicks me out. WTF.
This is a loot-based game. Unfortunately Bungie forgot to add “tons of loot” to Destiny 2. Loot variety is extremely shallow. It’s like Bungie was building a car and didn’t add wheels.
Just take a look at the visual variety of weapons offered in Warframe. What Bungie is selling us as a “great game” is a scam.
As I jump from planet to planet or go into a strike I realize this is a complete waste of time, everything I will get is a duplicate I’ve already seen countless times, at 260 power level. What a disaster.
And don’t even get me started on Iron Banner. WTF times million.

It’s a tough life, I lived it for three years through D1 and over 2000hrs. You don’t raid, you don’t PvP and since you can’t do it solo, you don’t NF. You are effectively cutting out 60% of this game’s content. You do realize that you can farm PEs, solo, for all that higher level gear that you can’t seem to find. In fact, I can give you a little solo player guide on how to level up: Step one, play the game. Step two, after reaching “Fury” or “Payback” farm PEs/Lost Sectors till you hit 20, My warlock reached 20 as I finished Fury. Step 3 after hitting 20 run rest of story. Step 4 run your milestones. One at a time. Collect your loot each time you finish one as to increase your light for the next milestone. Step 5: quit being a stick on the mud and use lfg. No one will hurt you.

2 Replies#1 thing I took from this post I play completely solo. I just don't understand why anyone would want to play this game alone. You have missed the point of the game and really what the genre of the game is. I'm not defending this lack of game, but seriously, everything other than the extremely short campaign is team oriented. Do yourself a favor and play a game that is intended for solo gameplay, or actually make a point to grow a friends list through LFG so you can play the other half of the game you have locked yourself out of.
Destiny 2 is pointless AF
Yes, that is the current consensus of the roughly 2 million people that bought and left this game. And even some who still play it.

1 ReplyWHAT!?! I hadn't noticed that it was missing wheels. I was so busy cursing that they removed the AM/FM Stereo disk player and replaced it with just a single speaker AM radio with a missing channel knob.

The population at D1 tower has been healthy past couple of days.

34 RepliesWarframe is a 7 year-old free to play game with one of the most aggressive pay-to-progress monetization schemes I've every seen. Its roots go all the way back to "Dark Sector" which Digital Extremes started working on way back in 2008. Warframe is a game that that can do much of what it does because it has NO PVP that it has to consider. While it does have PVP, almost no one plays it....and no one agitates for it to be balanced. Destiny 2 is a game that only about 2-3 years old...and is a base game. Not the product of years and years of expansions, updates and live events. Comparing Destiny 2 and Warframe is unreasonable and unfair. Lastly, if everything is droppoing at 260 for you, then you're doing something wrong. Probably failing to INFUSE high level duplicats into gear you wish to keep, and not doing the weekly milestones which drop gear WELL heigher than your current power level. What your describing sounds like operator error....not bad game design on Bungie's part.

Issues that have been in d1 from the start Meaningless grinding for lateral, not forward, progression. This is nothing new.
