To me one interesting question: how are these Exo?
Due to which they exist?
They need oxygen to survive?
They are supported by some source of energy?
This energy source is its lifespan?
Exo is possible to hack or reprogram, as a normal robot?
They can continue their population as living beings or not?
Is it possible to fix them as normal robots?
Do they have like machines created for war, special advantages?
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: Can Exo to eat the cookies and pizza... and nachos?!

Edited by foxburton99: 10/29/2017 9:45:05 AMExos were created during the Golden Age by putting a human’s mind into a robot body. Exos are human. Exos do not get tired, do not have to breathe, and do not have to eat or drink. But they can eat if they want to. We don’t know what energy Exos have, but it never runs out. They are not robots with programming, and cannot be reprogrammed or hacked. They still live as normal people, they just have different bodies from normal humans. We don’t know how to fix them if they get damaged anymore. Exos were built so humans can be immortal, so that humans could get close to Vex without going crazy, and so that humans could fight better. So they were kind of built for war, and they have advantages like not getting tired or hungry and if they lose an arm or something they will be alright instead of dying like a normal person would

I dont think exos can be hack, but they can reboot themselfs, losing all their memories and personalities.

I had an AMA about exos thread in lore but now I can't find it. No one knows how exos really operate. Not even exos themselves. They can not be hacked since they are human minds in robotic bodies. The vex are actually organic. An exo is not. Their power source is a mystery but no where in the lore is it ever mentioned that they need to recharge. They don't breathe oxygen, but being mechanical, they do produce heat. They have coolant flowing through their bodies the way organics have blood circulation. They can't reproduce. They don't have the organs for it. Can they still have sex though? Yes. Watch Demolition Man to find out how. Any other questions feel free to ask. Exos are the true master race.

1 ReplySo much knowledge lost with the removal of the Grimoire Cards ... :(

Well my question is why are the expos so well encrypted? Cryptarchy rahool states that the Exo are very well encrypted even to themselves, so can they not decrypt us? How are we more secure than vex networks? What secrets could us Exos be holding?

To me one interesting question: how are these Exo? Due to which they exist?
Exo, at least Cayde-6, were converted from humans into robots.
They need oxygen to survive?
I don't think so.
They are supported by some source of energy? This energy source is its lifespan?
Either by the Light or by some self-sustaining power.
Exo is possible to hack or reprogram, as a normal robot?
It seems like they started with some kind of programming, and were used as war machines in the past, so probably.
They can continue their population as living beings or not?
I don't think so. We don't actually have evidence of them reproducing.
Is it possible to fix them as normal robots?
Definitely.
Do they have like machines created for war, special advantages?
They seem especially resilient. They can also interact with the Vex networks in special ways.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: Can Exo to eat the cookies and pizza... and nachos?!
Yes! Cayde especially likes spicy ramen.

Exos are golden age machines that use a human consciousness to operate. There's essentially a human mind in a mechanical body. They can eat and drink but do not need to. They do not need to breathe either. The number after an exos name is how many times their memory has been wiped and reset.
