As post suggest, seeing all these d2 vids on pc and the ability to adjust their fov is just another thing console is missing, as it is severely restricted on consoles.
Doing this, i believe will change the pace of the game

Agreed I have Xbox one x, and it could certainly use an for slider, this is just rediculous
-
The change in FOV for D2 is so bad, it makes me sick, and I can rarely tell where I am being hit from, it sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 RepliesAn increase of FoV would decrease FPS on consoles. We're already pushing it, because there's FPS drops in events that have a lot going on, like the ridiculousness of the Ritual PE on Titan. How do people not know this? It wouldn't help the QoL.
-
1 ReplyConsoles cannot handle the fps drop, sorry but it's the trurh.
-
3 RepliesI think its a hardware thing at this point my friend. Other than that I dont know anything about computers anymore.
-
1 ReplyEdited by DeltaZulu77: 10/29/2017 1:17:12 AMFov is way too narrow. Sometimes I feel like I’m fighting a gunfight through a key hole.
-
5 RepliesFOV is related to distance you sit from screen and size of screen. Pc players need to be able to alter it as they usually sit closer to screen and have a wider variety of monitor sizes. Console players sit at a fairly standard distance from tv so don't need option to alter it.

Does something feel different about the PoV in D1 and D2? I hadnt actually put my finger on it yet because i havent been back to D1, but it does feel more cramped than i remember.
-
6 RepliesConsoles can't handle it, why do you think the fps drops during heavy events?
-
2 RepliesTrostland, EDZ Public event, glimmer extraction Zone behind church So you want even less frames, and even in the raid?
-
5 RepliesI'd say the X1 has a chance for this but the ps4.5 doesn't have it. So I doubt it. It's not even a question of capability. They just don't think it's needed.
-
4 RepliesConsoles just aren't up to the task though. :-/

Edited by poe zah xbs: 10/28/2017 3:24:04 PMWonder if the new Xbox could handle a bigger FoV. Would be interesting to see some comparison data between that and my still living day one box.
-
If you increase FOV you have to work the gpu harder. Consoles have limitations likely being the reason why fov isnt adjustable. Doesn’t matter if other games have done it, each game has different resource demands.
-
1 ReplyReally makes me wonder where consoles stand, tech wise. A friend of mine is playing D2 on PC with a gtx780, i5-4570 and has no issues playing at 60 fps all time on 1080p.
-
13 RepliesIf Titanfall 2 can do it in 2016 @60 fps and with Dedicated servers as well I don’t see why FoV changes are such an issue in this game, I’m sick of feeling like my characters head is stuck in a fish bowl or something, the tunnel vision is atrocious.

8 RepliesEdited by Lordsa Jar-Jar: 10/27/2017 9:22:24 PMNo way, if it's just for PVE, sure, but not PVP. It should be removed for PC as well, no idea why it was implemented. And no, it won't increase FPS if that's what you're referring to.
-
do you want even worse FPS? because that is what you would get
-
This has been something highly requested since Vault of Glass released. Don’t expect it anytime soon.
-
Always been a console gamer-but watching the vids on pc play....it all looks so god damn smooth n quick n fun!! I miss the fun! Pvp especially looks great-sigh, me so jelly
-
GOD please!!!!!!! there is no excuse in this day and age to implement this. I get so mad when devs dont put this in console games.
-
1 ReplyBUMP bad enough were locked at 30 frames ( sometimes lower on Xbox) in 2017-18
-
9 RepliesLol, youre joking right. I mean i havent played since launch, but from what i remember there was some sections of the game where getting 30 fps was hard work for consoles. How many xboxes need to crash and burn before you realise this is a silly idea, i mean sure itd be nice, but no, not possible unfortunately, especially as destiny has the worst fov ever. EVER.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Gearrat: 10/27/2017 2:48:30 PMIncreasing FoV decreases average framerate. Consoles already drop frames often enough. It would still be nice to have the option though.

This is sorely needed.
