PSA to all my TITAN Friends RE: Hallowfire Heart and Torrent modifier (Orbs are Overrated)
Should've made this post a while ago, but hey, shut up.
To anybody who may not be in the know, Torrent modifier can turn your Titan into a grenade machine. The exotic chest piece Hallowfire Heart greatly decreases your solar ability cooldowns [i]when your Super is charged[/i]. Your ability kills create Sunspots, and standing in a Sunspot [b]further[/b] reduces your ability cooldowns. I promise you, orbs are overrated when pairing Hallowfire Heart with the Torrent modifier. [b]Don't use your Super.[/b]
Almost felt like I was playing D1 again with this set up :')
1) Equip Sunbreaker Titan [b]w/ Code of the Siegebreaker[/b]
2) Equip Thermite Grenades (or whatever you want, but these are EXCELLENT grenades)
3) Equip Hallowfire Heart
4) Equip whatever else you want (because it doesn't matter)
5) Load up Nightfall
6) Play strike normally until you get Super.
7) Throw grenades. Stand in sunspot created on kill. [b]Throw grenades. Forever[/b].
8) What was that sound? Did I just hear you firing a gun, you jerk?
EDIT: You will see a lot of comments about pulse grenades in this thread. Guys, plz. We all know about pulse grenades already. I repeat, we all know about pulse grenades already. This post is not telling you you're wrong for using Striker, or pulse grenades are bad, or that you are a bad person for not using the Hallowfire load out. You are bad people for plenty of other, non-gaming related, reasons. :)

I will take my 1500-2000 x two pulse nades every 4 sec. Over a 900-1200 thermite every 2-3 sec. Striker out beats sunbreaker(or whayever its called now). I like playing HoS but dps based, Striker is better. I use 2x nades have faster recharge in both sets and hollowfire when Sunbreaker.

Melee kills also create sunspot. Melee, then stand in sunspot. Throw grenades and watch as my health keeps regenerating. Been using hallow since I got it. Rarely use any other subclass on my titan in pve.

3 RepliesTruth be told, that’s the only time Sunbreaker is ever really useful :/ Fireforged isn’t that good unless you have your super, and it runs out super quickly. Sunspots don’t give enough energy for the time you’re required to stand in one as opposed to all of the other classes. In my opinion, sunbreaker is the weakest out of all the Titan subclasses. :(

1 ReplyI used it and had alot of fun with it. It's no pulse nade tho. I did the nightfall 2 times in titan. 76 kills with termite and hallowheart. 130 kills with pulse nades.
