Looked into upgrading and unfortunately if you are in the same boat as me you need to upgrade the ram to DDR 4 as well. So this is a pretty costly inconvenience since all DDR 3 AMD3+ motherboards sold out 3 months ago. The cheapest and decent CPU Mobo combo is around 500 dollars. Do you guys think this game is worth a 500 dollar upgrade for one instruction set that can probably be compiled into the source code?
If you check the CPU benchmarks the Phenom 1090 and 1100T benchmark higher performance that the FX 4390.
If I would have know this would happen I would have started upgrading months ago but forcing players to pull the trigger now and not getting a smart deal for their money is a terrible way to go about this. Beta minimum specs should have been locked. End of story.
