My Ban / Unban story.
So.
I preordered this game since ever, since the PC announcement pretty much. Ive been in the forums for more than 12 years and I feel Ive been good with community through the years.
Then PC release happens. I was so hyped, pressed play and this happens: NOT SO FAST YOU ARE BANNED. And it just killed me inside, then I started asking question, was it my computer hardware monitoring? My AMD settings? I mean wth!
Then I had a flashback of modern warfare 2 release on pc with the wrongful bans with VAC. Gabe Newell himself said sorry and gaved us 2 copies of L4D2 and a VAC clear, how lucky I am, ive been affected by 2 wrongful bans in under 7 years, not even the same PC setup/hardware.
Then I remember how Bungie has some weird support, forums and twitter. How much I love this community, you guys can be heartless toxic people if you want jeez. I felt like shit trying to fix my file, name and integrity.
Thank god Blizzard support was understanding and swiftly refunded my game. Until I slowly saw people that I met in this ordeal that was affected by this getting unbanned. I contacted Blizz to see if I can try if the game work again for me and if it doesnt Ill get refunded. They accepted.
So here I am, back in the game, no ban anymore, but that awful bitter taste.
Please Bungie be more careful with this kind of stuff and be more transparent. And wheres the support? People can break from all those toxic people in the forums and twitter.
Anyway, glad to be back. Msg me if youre looking for a guild on PC. Im the founder and I litteraly have seen some shit haha.

Hey I am sorta in the same thing as u but I got an error code saying weasel which I looked it up on forums and everything and it shows something about being banned. I know for a fact that I really don't think that I have do to the fact I got badges and everything to prove I was never banned

1 ReplySo how do i get unbanned? i never cheated and never was toxic so i dont understand why i got banned about a year ago as well. Im still banned to this day and want to know why. i played for 2 weeks spent tons of $$ on silver to customize my new maxed guardian and now i cant do anything on that account. people are saying its because of overwolf. I use overwolf when i play csgo so if thats the case why is that lifetime ban able. this really makes me mad i have a good amount of shaders, ships, and runner i wanted to use.

6 RepliesWith all due respect, and I'm glad you're back up and playing, I think alot of console players didn't like how quickly they were banning PC players and yet they seem very disinterested with finding/banning console cheaters... I know those two things hardly seem related, and I don't even do trials, but it seems alot of people feel an opponent was cheating, report them, and nothing gets done... Just my two cents, anyway...

2 RepliesShould have taken the refund ... ... I got it disc for console after sinking 1500hrs on D1. I ended up returning the game for a refund. This is my personal opinion, but I feel D2 is a half complete game, I don't mean content wise, it's the mechanics, reward systems, same reskinned guns, armor, enemies and subclasses ... ... A lot of basics that should be in game are not : - No proximity chat - No custom games - Consoles run 30fps - Consoles have terrible P2P connection - Can't see team mates on map or waypoints - No option to choose which PvP game mode you wish to play - No ranked ladder in "competitive" - No penalty for leaving games early - No option for strike difficulty - No option to look at medals earned - Each character has exactly the same story, irrespective of class or race - Our guardian is permanently mute in D2, despite the fact we had odd few lines in D1 If you choose to continue with the game, I hope you enjoy it and the game improves... But don't be surprised if after a few weeks you realise it's not all it was cracked up to be.

Just curious did you have any sort of overlay on bungie swears they are not banning for them but its the oy common factor ive seen

5 RepliesYou didn't say WHY you got banned. Was it from illegal hardware they detected? I don't play games on PC so forgive my ignorance, but I couldn't determine exactly why you got banned in the first place.

Here’s something to think about: You were banned and then unbanned. There were countless naming and shaming posts that were valid where Crucible cheaters NEVER were addressed, yet their Crucible history were highly suspect. Streaks where the other team “left” matches. The posts were Ninja’d to remove the names and the posters were warned. Even one of the top 10 players in Crucible got away with cheating for 3 years before Bungie finally addressed it....3 friggin years. Is this perspective more bitter for you? It should be.

Congrats on being unbanned. More and more stories popping up is really fantastic. Sure Bungie may have dropped the ball a bit, but you know it hasn't even taken a week to resolve, and that's more than I can say for lots of other companies. Hopefully I'm on that list somewhere for unbans. Wish you the best of luck out there.

7 Repliesyour funny you know why people have been dealing with stupid crap from bungie since d1 alpha and beta stage.. you been here what a day and want them to be more careful .. lol thats a joke try wayyyyy longer then that.. i been here since D1 beta when it was restricted and then let out for a few days of everyone to play the beta then release the vanilla was the best version of destiny.. since then destiny itself has gone to shit.. you just wait and see Steam gamer
