Did you update your GPU drivers before you attempted to play destiny 2? Maybe the error crept in there. There was an update to your drivers on the 22nd of Oct. before D2 was released on PC. Perhaps try reinstalling the drivers. Or even rolling them back.

  • I have an I7-7700k, GTX1080Ti having the same problems. Cant count how many times I used Display Driver Uninstaller today doing full wipes and clean installs of Nvidia driver v387, and v388(The latest Game Ready Driver). Even tried uninstalling Geforce experience, and launching it on both v387 and v388. I also Updated my intel drivers and tried out an older version, no luck. I am currently on my 3rd reinstall of Destiny2, even uninstalled and reinstalled Battle.net app to no avail. Last ditch effort was to go into my BIOS and see if anything was that was not supposed to be enabled was enabled, still no luck. Game crashes within 5 mins of playing and even sooner if I try to go into settings. Game is completely unplayable.

  • I'm having the same types of issues. I played most of the night last night and then had 1 or 2 hard crashes starting around 1am. This morning I finished up the campaign and probably crashed 2 more times hard, as in, push the power button to restart. Since then it's been crashing continuously. I've reinstalled D2, multiple drivers, multiple times but nothing seems to help. I can crash just in the settings menu adjusting the display. Yesterday I was running at full 2560x1440 max settings with vsync off pushing about 120 fps. I started hitting the crashes earlier so I put vsync on locked at 60fps and still getting crashes, now, when I even turn vsync off it's a hard lock. Are you guys seeing anything in windows event viewer around the time of crash?
