I’m running 7700k with 1070 and was having almost the exact same issue - crashing to desktop with no error or anything. I found that my overclock on my GPU was causing the crash (most likely). I restored the core clock and memory clock offsets to factory settings along with power target back to 100% from 110. Haven’t had any issues with crashing since then. This overclock was stable prior to Destiny 2 and appears to only be an issue when I play Destiny 2.

Mine is on factory settings, so I don't think that is the issue, atleast not for me. I did try to adjust the Vsync settings a bit and limit the fps to 72. This did seem to make it a little more stable overall, but still getting some crashes.
