Keeps crashing
When i start the game, select my character and log in it takes me to a black load screen. The symbol in the corner changes shape once and then it freezes. A window pops up saying the game has stopped working. Currently unable to play the game.
[The game ran perfectly fine during beta]

Seems like AMD Phenom CPUs are the problem. Hopefully we'll hear from Bungie soon. If not I am going to try to get a refund. I only bought this game because i was able to run the beta.

1 ReplyFYI everyone just refunded my game and was told that you only have a few days to refund the game and that so far there is no exception for this game that the person helping me heard about. If you want to refund the game I would suggest not waiting to much longer or you may not be able to receive a refund.

Hey yeah! You described the exact problem I have and have the exact same CPU. I'm probably going to buy a new one soon because this isn't the only game I've had problems with my CPU

I used a Phenom II X4 920 PC to test the Destiny beta and had NO issues at all. The performance was pretty good too considering. I tried it with the full version and it crashed just after character creation exactly how you described it. I haven't gotten it to run yet.

Already got my refund. Keeping my money until there's confirmation this back-asswards technology is removed and compatibility restored.

Processor: AMD A6-3620 APU with Radeon(tm) HD graphics 2.20 GHz GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6530D RAM: 8GB I have these specs and I have this problem. Is it only going to crash on Phenom CPUs? or it has that problem for a variety of AMD computers.

3 Repliesjust an update on my end. geforce had a driver update that i didnt do before playing destiny 2. since i udeated my gpu driver the game hasnt crashed.

I played the beta aswell and it worked perfectly. I dont know what happened but I really hope that this issue will be solved in a couple of days. It is a CPU that is compatible with my current set up without having to upgrade the Mobo and RAM also. It is not the recommended but it is more than the minimum requirements that Bungie listed. I just want to make sure it is compatible with D2 and it won’t have the current crashes.

Just an update, my buddy swapped me an FX-8350 from one of his systems for my Phenom and the game runs perfectly. I realize not everyone has a friend with a bunch of spare PC parts laying around. I hope they decide to patch this, such a terrible reason to not be able to play. Godspeed Guardians.

I have a amd fx(tm)-4130 quad-core processor 3.80 ghz the game crashing only wen i drop in on the world map but the first time i played it for several hours only today has this problem started and it has not stoped i can not play the game

Same problem since the beta....Bungie doesn't care and don't want to refund games in "box" (an empty box with a code...GG....). It's a shame to take all that money and release a joke like that after the consoles disaster. Time to prosecute all that liars.
