Keeps crashing
When i start the game, select my character and log in it takes me to a black load screen. The symbol in the corner changes shape once and then it freezes. A window pops up saying the game has stopped working. Currently unable to play the game.
[The game ran perfectly fine during beta]

Seems like AMD Phenom CPUs are the problem. Hopefully we'll hear from Bungie soon. If not I am going to try to get a refund. I only bought this game because i was able to run the beta.

1 ReplyWhen in about 2 months time this is sorted.....i damn hope its worth the wait cause atm this is painful just being ignored, so we've had rumours and bungie people saying its being looked at but as well we have had things saying it wont be supported.....all i want is a yes we are fixing it or no get your refund, love the first one and i love destiny 2's menu ( but i didint pay money for a menu, character creation and then a epiclly cool cut-scene ) so like everyone else i just need/want a eta or information on "if" there will be an update.

1 Replyi7 6700k, GTX 970 EVGA updated drivers, fresh install of windows. Game will randomly hitch for about 30 seconds and then crash. It's happened in the title screen and it's happened 2 hours into gameplay. It even happened in the last minute of my first comp game and my team was winning :(

Been playing for 2 days now and have had probably around 10 crashes. The game will freeze for a couple seconds then a mini-window pops up saying Destiny 2 has stopped working. i7-something GTX 1070 8 ram

9 RepliesI found a possible workaround to this in another thread about the same problem we're all having,just wanted to share it here so more people can spread it around.Just goes to show that this problem can be fixed for us and Bungie's behavior is all the more appalling.From what i was reading in the other thread it's basically the same thing people did to fix the SSSE3 problem in No Mans Sky. I'm going to try this and cross my fingers. If it works for you,spread the word,let Bungie know that this can be fixed. "@DReCKSaKC https://software.intel.com/protected-download/267266/144917 You find the newest version for windows after accepting the license, copy the files over to the D2 director, make a shortcut of the sde.exe, right click it, click properties, and on target at the end add --destiny2.exe, then run as administrator. If you are running windows 10, you may need to put sde.exe into compatibility mode running as windows 7"

I don't believe it's AMD or Intel because I had to troubleshoot destiny 2 to get it to work for me.
