Keeps crashing
When i start the game, select my character and log in it takes me to a black load screen. The symbol in the corner changes shape once and then it freezes. A window pops up saying the game has stopped working. Currently unable to play the game.
[The game ran perfectly fine during beta]

Seems like AMD Phenom CPUs are the problem. Hopefully we'll hear from Bungie soon. If not I am going to try to get a refund. I only bought this game because i was able to run the beta.

I just don't understand how I can load into the game with a character still on the tutorial, but crash when I load up any character passed the tutorial.

I have same problem with AMD processor. Me and my friends planned this was the game to bring all of us to game together. They have all been playing together and I am left out. By this point they are all done the story and are starting to play PvP. Really dissappointed that this worked on my PC in beta but not now. I preorder and took day off work to play with friends, all for nothing.

Guys dont let this thread fall from the top...somehow, gaming sites and you tubers are mentioning the banned players but not us..when we are clearly the bigger problem here (sorry banned guys) strictly by the numbers, we deserve some serious attention NOW. We need help anyway we can get it. FFS im @!#$%@%$#@ maybe we need to start 100+ threads like the banned crew...

It's starting to look like it's not only AMD's but also Intel-Nvidia customers. Have seen enough people with Intel CPU's and Nvidia GPU's that also suffer from crashes. I personally have an Intel i7 and a Nvidia 670, not high-end but it worked perfectly fine in the Beta. But now, every time I load into the game after character creation, it freezes, the screen goes black and that's it...can't do anything else anymore except reboot the PC.

i was able to play the game perfectly during beta now it crashes after i select my character and enter the load screen. i uninstalled and reinstalled and i am still having the same problem. all my drivers are up to date! wtf why isnt my game working!

5 RepliesTry this guys. My windows install had done the fall update (1709) and since then I get the same as what people are describing here. One of the additions to this update was an enhanced "game mode". If you press windows+ i this opens pc settings. Then press gaming. Now disabke the gamedvr and the game bar. My game now works fine, give it a try.
