I already reported this issue during the beta, guess what?

7 RepliesHello, Thank you for your report. I have forwarded this to the appropriate team for investigation.

This also jus started happening to me. I played for roughly 8 hours throughout the day yesterday, getting caught up on Osiris. I saw there was a new NVidia driver available this morning, installed it and all day have been getting booted out of the game. I tried every trouble shooting idea on this whole thread, even other threads stating I should get into port forwarding, nothing-nada worked (didn't quite feel the need to uninstall the game or my operating system...lol yikes). Finally I tried rolling back to the previous video driver and bam, fixed. Thanks for everyone pitching in, one of them were bound to work.

I'm having the same problem.
-
What fixed the issue of it stopping for me was i had to go into Nvidia Control Panel and turn off the steroscopic 3D.

2 RepliesSo this happens to me every time I load up Destiny 2. What worked for me was: 1. Open File Explorer 2. navigate to %temp% 3. Delete all files and skip all that pops up I do this before I load up PUBG as well and seems to work every time I load up Destiny 2. Hope this helps. Also removing Destiny 2 from my Steam Library and maybe sometimes closing out steam does the trick for me.

I don't know if this will help anyone but hey, if it helps even just one person then I guess it's worth it. So my game would freeze entirely and then crash to desktop after about 10-15 minutes of play (sometimes less). I used a free program called Speedfan to check my system's performance and temperatures...I did this to see if the game had a memory leak or if anything was overheating. I logged in, loaded up the game and saw that my GPU was seeing temperatures well past 75c and that was with me sitting still at the main player hub (the tower...thing). There were no explosions and there weren't that many running around me...and the temperature for the GPU just shot up FAST. In my settings I had my FPS cap set to "unlimited" (due to my PC being fairly beefy and capable of running the game on ultra with 60 fps easily). I thought that perhaps this had something to do with the GPU going nuts so I capped the FPS at 60fps. Doing this has kept the GPU from overheating and the game hasn't crashed once since I made that change. Give it a try. If nothing else you can check your system's temperatures to make sure you're not frying anything. :P

2 RepliesEdited by Holly: 10/25/2017 11:22:11 PMSame issue here, but mine is an access violation every hour of playing, even if I do nothing but run around on the Farm. Tried updating everything, no dice. Also tried rolling back graphics drivers, didn't help. 3 RepliesEdited by jazix: 10/24/2017 11:25:53 PMLocks up for me after every single mission I attempt to play. Sometimes it locks up when I try to launch but not every time. i7-2600K and a GTX 1070 here. All latest drivers. Edit: had same issue during beta but not nearly this bad.
-
9 RepliesI fixed it by locating this GFSDK_Aftermath_Lib.dll file from program files/Destiny 2/bin/x64 and copying it to the main game folder (program files/Destiny 2). Suddenly the game works perfect, no crashes!

Any fix?

Had this yesterday al evening. So i came home from work update both pc's: drivers, bios, nvdia software, turned of nvidia overlay, turned every software not needed to play a game. But it keeps crashing and stopping to work. my pc 9 times in the last hour. And its not consistend, compeltly random, 1 min ingame til 30min ingame, yesterday even after 1.5/2hours. At the start of a new mission, at the end of/or finshing a event/mission, at the point a boss appears or a new batch of canonfodder enters the field, when loading to the farm, when loading to the map, when loading into orbit. Hope this wil get fixxed soon. ps. sorry for my bad english writing.

Edited by Kyuuri: 10/24/2017 9:25:57 PMSimilar error here. Game worked for half an hour, then froze and crashed. Even Windows did not respond at first. After some seconds, maybe even a minute after CTRL+ALT+DEL, the Task Manager would start, but very "laggy". Mouse input or even movement took a considerable amount of time to be recognized. After that, similar crashes happened in irregular intervals. One time, the PC actually restarted, so I think there might be some more fundamental problem. Latest Drivers and Windows Updates are installed. edit: Just to clarify: The crashed can occur randomly after 5 minutes, 50 minutes or 5 seconds into the game, it varies just that much. Also, sometimes, there is not even an error message shown. Also, if my system manages to not break down or freeze completly, the desktop can be restored, but the whole battlenet app is not repsonding and showing just an empty frame. edit2: The crashes also occur during very different events. From playing solo, to playing multiplayer story to crucible, everything can crash Data: Kyuuri#2956 Win10 Home Ryzen 5 1600x GTX 1070 8GB 16 GB RAM nVidia version: 388.0 dxdiag: https://pastebin.com/YQbVHr64

1 ReplyHaving the same issue. i5 4670K, 1070 gtx, 16gb ram, nVidia version 388.0, windows 7. Didn't play the Beta. Goes to black on startup and gives me the "stopped working" error. Haven't even got into the game yet.

Edited by Fusion: 10/24/2017 9:03:15 PMIf you have a ntdll error then I think your best bet is to reinstall windows (unless bungie fixes this issue). It's what I did and it worked (still sucks tho, because you lose all your programs just for one game to work).

6 RepliesI'm having the same issue.
