  • 1) 343 Guilty Spark betraying chief. 2) Me betraying Bungie by not buying this game sooner.

  • How could a chasm betray someone? That's a pretty far-fetched metaphor, in my opinion.

  • I think that "2 Betrayals" stands for the two chasms in that level.

  • As much as it has been mentioned, I don't believe that 343 Guilty Spark trying to get Master Chief to activate Halo was any type of betrayal. 343 Guilty Spark was just doing his job and assumed (albeit incorrectly) that Master Chief was there to help him and knew exactly what was going on. If there was any obvious betrayal, it was by Master Chief when he and Cortana refused to activate Halo. The second betrayal could refer to Cortana's withholding information or it could be an allusion to a betrayal of or by the Forerunners the first time Halo was fired.

  • THe first we obviously know. the chief betrays 343. THe second? I think it might be leading towards the next few missions. where you go and try to capture captain keyes. and you leave him and that could be the second betraya. just an idea.

  • Didn't I read somewhere that cortana was keeping something secret from the masterchief? I think its the humans=forerunner thing. How could she not know?

  • The First Betrayel is Cortana taking the Index and making sure MC couldn't activate Halo. The Second Betrayel is definetly when 343 admits Halo was going to make the galaxy Flood food, and when he gets betrayed by Cortana (And MC....since he just told MC what Halo does) he tends to them by sending Sentinels to take them out That's what I think. • 1st Betrayal: 343 Guilty Spark betrayed MC by trying to get him to activate Halo's core weapon to destroy the galaxy(well, some of it) so the Flood would not have any food(or hosts) 2nd Betrayal: Not so sure.....Maybe when MC and Cortana were going to destroy Halo and upset Guilty Spark in the process. He still lived though.

  • Theory 1: 343 betrayed Chief and Cortana, and Chief and Cortana betrayed 343 by stealing the Index and destroying the pulse generators. Theory 2: Seemed like cortana betrayed chief by not activating halo, 343 betrys Chief and cortana. I dont know about all of you, but these seem like the best theories about this I can thunk of.

  • It's hard to be sure what the two betrayals are. I would guess the first one is that 343GS has betrayed MC by not telling him what will happen if he reunites the index with the core. Maybe then, the second betrayal is that MC and Cortana betray 343GS by devising a plan to destroy the Halo.

  • That is actually a question that Bungie fans are still trying to answer with a great deal of certainty. The most obvious betrayal is that the Chief betrayed 343 by not activating Halo. Whether 343's betrayal of the MC and Cortana (if that really is a betrayal), 343's betrayal of the Forerunners by activating the Halos the first time and killing them, or yet another unkown betrayal is still a bit unclear.
