Fortnite: is hiding for the whole game a valid tactic?
Now let me make it clear, I'm not talking about playing stealthily. That's fine.
I keep coming across people who literally hide in one spot near the center the entire game waiting for everyone to die. Isn't that extremely boring? I can't sit in a bush for the whole game personally.
Is this a valid tactic many people use often? I'm new to the game. I like being stealthy and staying on the move. I find no satisfaction surviving if I did nothing at all except hide.
Also, any tips for a new player?

If you wanna win, you gotta loot. So for the [i]whole[/i] game, nah. I mean... valid, I guess. But not viable at all. Camping a bush in the late game is both valid and viable. And potentially good enough to be meta.

Bush wookies! Yup, they're everywhere in that game haha. . I often become one myself, but can never stay still for very long. .

As boring as it sounds it's a legit move. It's all about survival. Same with campers in online shooters.

I don’t sit, but I do go to the furthest part to collect materials and practice building and shit! I get a couple of kills here and there but I do tend to stay away from the action. One out and if I have the upper hand I’ll go for them.

2 RepliesIn any battle royal game some people can hate certain strategies used but remember you don't have to kill everyone only the last person so any strategy that has you win works.

Well the whole point is to survive until the end and kill the last player. So yeah, seems valid to me. Would i do it myself? Probably since winning is my goal in any online situation. May as well let all these idiots kill each other wasting their bullets while i fortify myself in a good spot
