They could put Destiny 2 in a good place simply by changing these few things:
1. GET RID OF STATIC ROLLS. This is the biggest flaw in all of Destiny 2. Bungie must not understand how much time people spent grinding for godrolls. This is a big reason people don't grind strikes anymore. Also, without differing rolls it makes running regular crucible seem less fun because you don't get shit at the end of the game
Who remembers the rush of seeing that Matador or Eysaluna pop up at the end game rewards and then nervously checking the roll to see if it was a god roll or not? Good times
Bungie says they removed rolled weapons from the game because it was too hard to balance but I seriously don't notice a damn difference. Theres still a meta and if you aren't rocking it then you lose.
Getting loot isn't even exciting in Destiny anymore. This is because all the loot is the same. And considering this is a loot game Id consider this a major problem
2. More pvp playlists. This is something that should've been in the game from the start
3. Get rid of Nightfall timer. Cant even enjoy the nightfall because you are rushed.
4. Raid needs to drop gear not tokens. This is just so stupid.
5 Strike exclusives. I KNOW YOU ALREADY HAVE THEM MADE BUNGIE. You are doing the same played out tactic of taking away something from us and then giving it back to us as if its new. Cant wait for the weekly update with you guys acting like you are doing us a huge favor by putting a strike exclusive for each strike when they should've already been in game
Seeing what the Nightfall was going to be was partly exciting because it would mean you could potentially get that godroll Grasp of Malok or Imago Loop. Even when you were max light level you would still want to chase a godroll
These 5 things arent even asking for a miracle. Pretty basic changes. Everything else is secondary. The game isn't that far off from being the same as Destiny 1. Its primarily the loot system that's -blam!-ed up.

everything but the nighfall timer leave that it makes solos way more fun and challenging

1 isn't as easy as you may think. You have hundreds of guns that can have thousands upon thousands of different rolls. This would take alot of doing to make happen. And on top of that the balance issues would again come back full force. Then it will be nerf this, nerf that etc etc.

Bring pvp back up to 6. Get rid of most of the new pvp maps. Give us back our intellect, discipline, and strength. Bring back useful artifacts. Stop limiting “powerful” gear. Don’t force solo players to have to be part of clan to get more of said powerful gear.

I'd add get rid of the 2 primaries system. I still don't like it and I tried to give it a chance. I want a reason to use shotguns and snipers again. Oh, and give us back machine guns.

Edited by HH_Phil: 10/23/2017 8:30:22 AMI disagree with the static rolls, but maybe they could've made 2 or even 3 "versions" of every weapon (e.g. one with a PvP-perk, the other one with a PvE-perk), nevertheless every weapon should've 2-3 mod-slots. Okay maybe one for the elemental-type but the other 1-2 for actuall usefull mods for a weapon like better handling, faster reload ect. Give us a "basic-version" and let us individualise the weapon in a way we like. Sorry vor mei bäd Englisch

Why waste my time gambling for a “god roll” weapon that I believed would improve my overall game experience and just chase it, gambling and gambling time away hoping for a “god roll”. It was stupid. Now people don’t complain in crucible about getting worked by god rolls which really a few die hards and lucky people had. Just pop in and compete on a more level playing field. There is enough of a grind to keep people playing past their enjoyment but not like D1 where it had to be your life if you wanted the cutting edge stuff. The game is wayyy better this way and I know I’m the minority on the forums but that’s meaningless and people like you need to realize it was done for a reason. 2. Is your only valid point 3. I like the timer it adds a fun challenge, my only complaint is that using it every week makes the nightfall seem too similar and predictable every week. I like the timer but want more variety 4. It literally makes no difference where you get your gear... 5. You don’t like the strikes enough to play for fun but want Bungie to hide something behind a grind wall to make you do something you clearly have demonstrated you don’t like to do. All they need to do is make more pvp playlists and make heroic strikes or harder version playlist

I was Hoping so much that they would've included a ranking system to the crucible as well when destiny 2 came out. It would've Given us pvp players something more to grind for and at the same time adding a competitiveness component that just isn't there right now. I feel they did it right in halo 2 and 3 so something similar would be perfect and they have the technology to do it also. So imagine my surprise when I got to play crucible for the first time in D2 and it didn't even allow me to choose my crucible genre of play. I totally and immediately felt like the game regressed obviously because when jumping off d1it was a game that at least allowed me to choose my type of play or custom game.

Oh skilled based ranking system in Destiny and Id be on right now
