Well, as a show of good faith, you fire the idiot that keeps saying "I think we did the right thing". When it's obvious to the vast majority of the gaming community that they did the wrong thing, that statement is extremely offensive. How stupid do they think we are?
Once that's done, come clean on everything. Tell us you f'd up big time. Tell us you know you didn't deliver the game that was promised. Tell us that you're making changes at Bungie to better serve the community. We might be willing to be a bit more patient with them if we see positive changes to their management.
Right now, if they said that, we wouldn't believe them. Someday, they might let Luke Smith out of his cage again to wreck Destiny. One good expansion does not make up for the worst sequel in video game history. Also, half of us still haven't forgiven him for taking away our Vision of Confluence and Fatebringer, he should have been fired back then.
Once all that is done, tell us what features will be restored in which DLC. That way, the players that want certain things restored can wait until the DLC that offers the restoration they want comes out.
Not that hard. It will take a while, but it's not difficult. Bungie won't do it though. They don't know how to communicate. So, they'll probably just go out of business instead of doing what needs to be done.
